It’s a somewhat arbitrary distinction but if they have removable soft goods, I consider them dolls. This makes DOTM Megatron a doll.

People like to jive on people who collect action figures sometimes but 1/6 scale collectors are literally buying very expensive dolls.

MP still has realistic altmodes where applicable and Studio Series isn’t as slavish when it comes to sculpted detailing and vehicles so I guess it’s simply not a priority.

Didn’t have any trouble with it that i can recall. IIRC one of either the Hasbro or Takara runs had a widespread misassembly issue that prevents it from transforming as intended.

They're also making Nemesis and EVA variants. With the lanky build, it might have made a decent Evangelion Prime but they hugged that up with the color placement. Even the stupid Gundam decals would've been more at home there.

The craziest bit is that this Optimus design isn’t even all that complex conceptually. Aside from the usual Optimus design problem of handling the grill/abs, all the major truck parts show up on the robot mode more or less untouched.

You know, I really don’t mind Shadow the Hedgehog using guns. It’s just weird that he uses actual real-life firearms.
