It may just be the most blatant way to confirm Shockwave's bloodline or ancestry or whatever they call it to Amalgamous without any Shockwave releases in the AOTP lineup.
Should receive my Dramatic Series Thundercracker with Reflectors by next week. After the Skywarp set, I am officially finished with the Seeker game. The new mold doesn’t seem like a significant improvement to warrant starting over.
I bought a Studio Series Thundercracker despite being satisfied with the Earthrise mold specifically to paint into AM Thundercracker. The simpler molding/detail and slight derp to the face suits it.
Quickstrike’s pretty much perfect all things considered. He’s a lot more toony in beast mode than the previous BW cast in generations but then again, his beast mode is made-up. Decent articulation and fantastic colors and detail make him a standout. Wish the scorpion legs were a tiny bit longer...
Grimlock has the dino neck and the Diaclone chest cockpit if they decide to keep that functionality. Unless Missing Link decides to skimp on sprues and make some other parts in clear, there shouldn't be anything else.
Godzilla figures always label the atomic breath variant as "Atomic Breath" or "Heat Ray" versions, but if I were in charge, I'd call them Blu-Ray releases just to mess with people trying to buy the movies.
Realized I forgot to shoot the Dragknights in robot mode. They're alright but no head articulation is a huge bummer and the feet being oddly shaped, having no ankle joints or heels and the heavy backpacks make posing these guys in any meaningful way difficult.
Also trying out a new lighting...
Grimlock was announced alongside the limb Constructicons and the drill tank when this company first hit the scene. That last image is from the initial image dump since the latest announcement didn’t have any shots of the tank in hammer mode. Last communication from the add on kit announcement...
I don't get it. This add on set throws away every single selling point the stock Devastator has to make a combiner with messed up proportions. May buy it if it's cheap for the hammer and gun parts but jeez
Blast Off is basically Vortex but better. Less kibble and better tolerances overall aside from one fist that refuses to hold his guns. I’m not thrilled about Bruticus so far but Blast Off is a neat little shuttle transformer even without the combining aspect.
Also, Hasbro figure stand ports...
I’ve been in Japan for the past week and the Transformers situation is dire. If the stores have any, it’s usually identical to Hasbro AOTP leftovers. Anyway, not a huge fan of the Wild King copy-paste limb robot play pattern but picked up World Dragnus. He’s alright though proportions are kind...
I don't have a problem with Buu the character. I just think it's stupid how many ridiculous asspulls they did in succession. Not that Dragon Ball doesn't do that regularly, it's insane how it goes Super Saiyan 3 Goku > Gotenks > Z-Sword > Ultimate Gohan > Vegito only to end with a technique from...
