The Junkions being big chunks of vehicles works for them, because aesthetically they go very Mad Max "use whatever you've got" anyway. The Fossilizers and Rock Lords were just too different from the tech looks of the rest to blend in at all. They're neat as their own thing but don't really fit...
Amalgamous is a fun idea, and his non-standard robot design is great. But he doesn't really break down into enough small parts to really sell the "turns into anything you want" concept. The big torso chunk is the main offender.
Also, his head keeps falling off.

I only had the orange arm from Puzzler, but his shoulder peg could fit well enough into a Scramble City joint, so sometimes he guest starred with the Technobots.
