Yeah, Needlenose's targetmasters are pretty much just accessories, while Malleus is a Battlemaster. Which they've always been, even in G1. Its about the only way to get them made and keep the budget.

When I had one, also second hand, it's head was very similar; head reveal didnt work right and also had stress marks around the hinge; probably worse as I recall one side was nearly broken off. But despite that; yeah he was an amazing figure for his time.

Which works for some guys. Silverbolt pulls it off well; As does Starscream/Elita and Hungrr, but they both largely copy Silverbolt. Even Optimus isn't bad, since he's kinda copying Energon Prime; while Motormaster doesn't work at all without an addon imo. Hot Spot kind does it better then...
