I'm pretty sure it was already renewed for a season2.
-ZacWilliam, hopefully they make the most of how much they've blow up the previous status quo and really shake things up:
Burned through the last partial season this afternoon.
It was good.
Boy there was a moment in those last 3 episodes where Earthspark decided it wasn't playing around and I'm surprised that something like that was allowed to happen in this kids cartoon. Even to a Villian.
If I want to nitpick...
Ordered. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but I really wanted a Dion to go with Orion.
-ZacWilliam, I mean Arial too I guess but that head sculpt makes me a little less enthusiastic there.
Who was an "epic protagonist of destiny?" That doesn't really sound like any TF kid except maybe Sari and she was too grounded and goofy for that.
They just felt like badly written, unnecessarily annoying kids to me.
Also I was a fat kid and am a chubby adult (with Diabetes like Fred), I...
One thing I've noticed on my latest attempt to watch through Armada (watched 2 more last night. Still not at the 1/2 way point) is that the kids are kinda awful.
And listen i generally like kid sidekicks just fine. Every other TF show I can think I'm either fine with or actively like the humans...
I really liked the Free Comic Book Day "Ranger's Academy" story. I tried to look up the actual book only to find it wasn't out yet and didn't even have a scheduled release windo wich was a bummer.
-ZacWilliam, Only really got into Rangers watching Beast Morphers with my son and listening to...
What is really impressive about Armada in the modern context is they are largely simple enough for a kid to TF easy, full of fun gimmicks and really really thick blocky and solid/durable by modern standards.
Todays kids aimed figures sometimes, sometimes, still get the gimmicks, but they're...
I like the fact that a new character breaks into one of Cobra's secret business meetings as a job audition and CC is like "Sure! Ok, you're in." And immediately assigns them to the division that shoots them with a weird pulp science "laser" that infuses them with the genetic(?) mystical (?)...
I think Armada is probably the most "Fun and Best Kid Friendly" TF Toy Line. The toys aren't the most poseable or adult collector friendly but they are the most fun to play with and for a kid, and Armada Megatron despite the lack of leg articulation may be the most fun TF ever with a great look...
I think Silverbolt's BM body was a hair taller but he had weird legs too.
And yeah, Core is not ideal, I guess I'm just thrilled they're doing any BM at all.
ZacEilliam, though if you have a core slot, I'll repeat Hasbro = Nightscream.
I don't think I saw the Beast Machines Cheetor listing before. Hope that happens,
Also I would KILL for show model BM Jetstorm, core class Nightscream and Deluxe Botanica.
ZacWilliam, and though I'm very happy about getting the BW version first, I'd also LOVE a good and appropriately sized BM...
It would have been cool to make the Nedry Jeep the Con and the Dino the Autobot, yeah.
My guess is that either they just defaulted to "Dinosaur = Bad monster" without thinking of the context of the scene at all, or if they did think about it they wanted to keep the factions to alt-form...
I expect the cab mode to be a lot different than that, but honestly that also frankly looks gorgeous.
-ZacWilliam, those colors really pop beautifully together.
Buzzer really makes me think of David Tennant
-ZacWilliam, Ripper was the only original Dreadnok I had as a kid but I never liked the toy's big weird head so I'm having trouble deciding if I have nostalgia for him or not.
Tripwire was one of my favorite early joes. I love that they have him his classic look not just a modern one.
-ZacWilliam, I'll probably buy Steel Brigade too but Tripwire is the win here for me.
Rokkon and Stonedar
Plus the Meteorbs, egg-like Meteors that turned into robot-y animals.
-ZacWilliam, MotU had fallen behind transforming robot toys by that point and you can tell they were doing their best to steal some of that juice.
I've watched (and liked) all of Stranger Things except the most recent season which featured this truck.
But it's a new character and they turn into an alt-mode we've never had before, that's plenty good enough for me.
-ZacWilliam, wish we got more "everyday" alt modes too. I'd kill for a...
