The biggest deco loss is the cassette detailing, really. The feet look silver. Not sure if that's just overzealous airbrushing but hopefully it's the same color as his other body parts. I don't have a strong preference for cartoon flat gray vs toy silver but I'd at least like consistency.

You can use hot glue as a semi-permanent way to affix the shin covers. You’ll need to be a little extra careful when applying it so that it isn’t visible but it comes off with enough force and the residue can be scraped off.
