Combiners: Unified colors or Rainbow Warriors? Lets discuss!

Wow, I forgot how crazy those Seacon remolds were.

Combiners: Unified colors or Rainbow Warriors? Lets discuss!

What does that mean? The pieces are out there We've used those molds a couple of times He won't be dinosaurs Huh? The "pieces" or "molds" are dinosaurs (Dinoking/Volcanicus), so if he's not dinosaurs... the pieces... aren't out there... what?

Combiners: Unified colors or Rainbow Warriors? Lets discuss!

I like both! A mixture of colors emphasizes that it's a big robot made of smaller robots. But also, sometimes color coordination in fun. I really like Victorion with her rust and oxidization scheme. Outside of traditional combiners, I enjoy the occasional Mini-Con color-matched to a bigger guy...

    Takara Missing Link G1 Series

This is the year of Nemesis Prime. WildKing, Swapticons, the Target-exclusive four-pack with Animated Nemesis Prime, and the new Armada Nemesis Prime.

Transformers: Wild King -- new "Wildocking" animal limb combiner series from TakaraTomy

Just noticed that the Animal Tribe have their energy thing pointing on one direction while the Dinosaur Tribe guys' energy thing points in the other direction. EDIT: I'd like to see a sauropod in the style of Lightlong. Lightlong's transformation scheme is unique among this group.

    The Repaint Concept Thread

Now that we've had a few years of cassettes turning into cassettes, I wouldn't mind a touch of the weird days when cassette characters turned into tanks and jets and PDAs and stuff.

Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion || update: stock renders of upcoming Alpha Trion, Micronus, Flatline, Fireflight, Skydive, ++

I guess I'll be happy that none of the repaints had cartoon appearances, so they stand a chance of having better alt-mode colors if they ever make new toys of them. (I understand why cartoons have to simplify designs, I just don't love when they turn around and make toys of the simplified designs.)

I have four versions of the original Big Convoy mold. This new one has a very nice robot mode and I’m sure it’ll be much easier to transform. But I’m not sold on the beast mode. The flat brown and the sculpt are not exciting me.

Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion || update: stock renders of upcoming Alpha Trion, Micronus, Flatline, Fireflight, Skydive, ++

Cartoon accuracy and TFWiki strike again. This is the only picture on the wiki of this character from the cartoon and I'm 100% sure that's why they went with mangled face. We only see the broken face for literally two seconds in the cartoon. Maybe if they had actually watched the episode, we...

Transformers: Wild King -- new "Wildocking" animal limb combiner series from TakaraTomy

I always liked color-coordinated Transformers. I like the idea of this I also like that the new Stegosaurus looks like it can go with either Nemesis Prime or Shadow Megatron.

Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion || update: stock renders of upcoming Alpha Trion, Micronus, Flatline, Fireflight, Skydive, ++

My dumb take on the 13: I loved them at the beginning, how the reveals were slow and haphazard. Vector Prime in the club comic, the Fallen in Dreamwave, reaching back to grab Prima from the old Marvel comic. Nexus being the culmination of a five year story. Logos from a Takara story (I know that...

Does Micronus have a real Mini-Con port? I can see a regular 5mm port (?) in the back of his head, and his bike has a post on it. The Unicron Trilogy ports and posts were so satisfying, I'd love to see it on Micronus.

I don't know what I was expecting, but that 4-pack is a bit more expensive that I can handle right now. I wonder if it'll go on sale like some of the pervious 4-packs.

    Swapticons (new gimmick line)

I'm a fidgety person and I haven't stopped fiddling with the set I bought. I imagine I'll cave in and buy the Jungle set as well as most of the second wave. I like the characters and I want to mess around with mixing and matching. (All of that put together is still less that what I spent on Wild...

    Swapticons (new gimmick line)

“Who’s more marketable” is undefinable for a small toyline that includes Clench, G2 Sandstorm, Botcon Ape-Linq, and Shadow Panther. There don’t seem to be any limits regarding obscurity.

    Swapticons (new gimmick line)

Walmart has the "original" price as $13.99 for the 2-packs. I sure hope all the new ones are $8.00! ---- The photos in the original listing are larger, but weird to download. https://www.mercari.com/us/item/m14833316659/ Presumably Shadow Panther and Ravage use the Cheetor/Tigatron molds...
