The bonus battle with Scarlet is rough. She's lightning fast; she parries bullets after the first couple of shots, so shooting isn't worth much; she'll react to you trying to use a healing item by charging; and once she goes into her second phase, if you don't get enough perfect parries to break...
It doesn't have to make sense. It just has to be the first message out and have enough buzz words to keep the cult on target. All they hear is "bad thing happened something Marxist something" and that's enough.
