Like it or hate it, that movie is 15 years old, which means kids that were 10-15 when it came out are right in the middle of that coveted 18-34 demographic and nostalgia sells. Fans of the Bay movies will be a part of this fandom for as long as it lasts.

Who's ready for product descriptions for Dead End, Pointblank (with Peacekeeper!) and deluxe Energon Monster Skullgrin?!?!
Weird how if this was just Flamewar in legacy packaging, I wouldn't bat an eye at the red Decepticon symbol, but knowing she was shoehorned into Shattered Glass, the red symbol will always bug me.
Still getting her though.
There was a product description for "Studio Series '86 Core Class Rumble (Blue)" not that long ago. It was listed at 3.5 scale but also comes with four accessories so it's possible he'll be proper cassette sized and the rest was made up in accessories.
Entertainment Earth still has my Jhiaxus for November, along with SS86 Arcee.
Also, weirdly enough, my Legacy core shockwave is processing, but core g2 megatron isn't. You'd figure the repaint would have been more available to ship than the new mold.
Apparently WFC Barricade showed up, so unless they're reissuing that Siege figure (why?), this kinda points to the games after all. I'll be curious if they're just doing the figures, or if they worked out the licensing to bring the games back into distribution. I'd love it if they were made BC...
Assuming these would be G1-ified versions
Core
G1 Wheeljack
G1 Jazz
G1 Grimlock
G1 Arcee
BW Quickstrike
Cybertron Signal Lancer
I like the aesthetic they have going with Iguanas, so more core pretenders?
Pretty much anyone, really
Deluxes
G1 Quickmix
G1 Squeezeplay
Aileron
A new Nautica
Rung
A...
It's incredibly funny the through line of "Toy designed around gimmick->cartoon charcter based on a toy designed around a gimmick->toy designed to look like a cartoon model based on a toy designed around a gimmick, but does not include said gimmick."
The circle of liiiiiife...
Anyway, Armada...
An entry was found for "Gen Studio Series DLX WFC Bumblebee" which some are speculating will be a release of Netflix Bee, but I find that unlikely as I think they'd just call it '86 Bumblebee in that case. The other theory, however, seems even less likely: that Studio Series is going to expand...
Speaking of characters with limited screen time in the movie. :D
I like how they included two blasters so you can recreate the scene where he gets mowed down. I think the Masterpiece is the last time he shipped with two pistols?
A listing for SS86 Snarl has shown up in Walmart computers. Not unexpected, and I understand why this figure is happening, but it's still funny to me that a character that was in the film for all of ten seconds is getting a figure in the Movie Toy line. :D...
Circuit Breaker is the exception that proves the rule. She would have been a Hasbro character, but the comic writer liked her so much that he pre-emptively premiered her in Secret Wars II #3 before she showed up in the Transformers comic, just so Marvel would own the rights. This is why IDW...
The fact that Marvel did that and then proceeded to do jack all with Circuit Breaker in the intervening years sucks.
There was literally a comic about robot Avengers (Avengers AI) that she would have made a fantastic villain for. Just replace GB Blackrock with Tony Stark and Shockwave with...
Typically if they appeared first in a licensed comic, they're owned by the licenser, so if Hasbro or whoever making their shows or comics wants to use them, they can.
Remember Rung and Nautica have already gotten toys and Tarn is getting one next year. (After showing up in Cyberverse)
I just realized... is this the first major continuity that had zero stories involving Earth or humans? Even Beast Machines was tied to G1/BW where Earth was prominent.
