My attitude re: Bulkhead is the same attitude most reasonable people had towards the idiots who claimed Michael Bay ruined their childhood- the stuff you like is still there, this new version doesn't change anything.
And given how Transformers as a franchise cycles through aesthetics, and how...
I was introduced to the G1 show in the G2 era. Bad CGI of Optimus vs Ramjet, the CyberCube, and all! And it wouldn't be for another few years before I got into comics. At which point the G1 comic run was long over.
So for the longest time G1 was the cartoon for me. I didn't really become aware...
Cute.
Aesthetics are a weird thing to pin down admittedly, but people acting like they make a G1-ified Bulkhead ruined their childhood younger adulthood was a bit baffling to see.
And Rescue Bots has their weird aura about it. Be it fans who would be too protective of its aesthetic and not...

I just have no desire to re-do Combiners again. Menasor is tempting because his original CW outing was so weak but...I'd rather they give the Motormaster torso mould...
To be fair...I would say that Astrotrain/Sentinel figure had a bit more Sentinel worked into the sculpt than just the head. His chest was as close to Sentinel Prime's IDW design as you could from something that also had to be Astrotrain. I have no idea if they had Leader Astrotrain in the works...
Nova Prime. I know he's primarily a comic book character, but other characters of that stature have had toys before. And Nova was a reoccurring antagonist in a very popular Transformers series. His body design looked cool, and he had a lot of toyetic concepts worked into them.
He got to be a...
