Sure, but in this case, I mean... Even unmorphed, like 50% of their heads are covered in prosthetics. How much of their face has to show for them to be owed likeness rights? I think this is part of why a lot of Batman movie figures never bothered with it.

Sorry, yeah, that's what I was trying to say. If Paramount's part has any weight over Transformers being involved, it probably doesn't include GoBots, making it easier for them to be signed off on. That's what I was trying to get at.

Sort of what I'm thinking. Just take the core designs and concepts and backstory, and do something new with them. Maybe hew more towards the tone of the five-part pilot than some of the stuff after. Heck, use the five parter as a launching point, and continue from there in whatever way might...

Sorry if someone said this already, but Paramount has the movie rights to Transformers, and so they'd probably have to sign off on something like this, too, if there was any signing off to be done. GoBots? Not so much. Just Hasbro would likely do.

Eh, after four TV shows, six movies, and three or so comic book series with them the way we always knew them, I was ready for something new, especially after the "Ultimate" version in 2012 that deftly pulled from almost everything. And Rise delivered perfectly. But now that the sun has set on...
