Only bad points I've seen about Metroplex C is that his buzzsaw doesn't split open into an axe anymore, and he doesn't have Mini-Con compatibility for the Mini-Con he doesn't come with that doesn't exist (except on the original).
I haven't been able to get most of the recent Ultra Magnuses, but passed on Kingdom because honestly, that alt mode just kills it for me.
Hopefully this new one manages to nail both parts. Be sad if there's not an inner-robot, but I'll live.
Funny, that. I was just discussing on Discord recently whether anything would really be lost if someone watching were to jump straight from Armada to Cybertron.
I think the biggest things might be Megatron and Starscream being alive at the start. If you can gloss over that, though...
Maybe the real Energon Monsters were the Weaponizers/Fossilizers we made along the way.
Anyway, I honestly wouldn't mind a new toy-based book. Maybe not quite to SUCH a degree as Marvel G1 had to rotate things, but enough to kind of give us a feel for things and see our new toys in print, you know?
I still need to read the reboot stuff and most of what came after, but I loved the first IDW run -- as tough as it was to follow at times.
And I'm probably still missing stuff, after they went full Hasbro Cinematic Universe.
I also really enjoyed ReGeneration One. I think that's my go-to...
