Was that the reason? That's incredibly dumb. I get the subdued faction symbols for the movie stuff, but no one was looking at Animated's figures and going "oh yeah that's a realistic vehicle."
There was a TF fan forum I was on back when Animated was on, and there was a very vocal crowd there that loved the toys but wanted "cartoon accurate" faction symbols. Which usually meant squished and poorly drawn.
Meh.
Unofficial stickers are, to me, the epitome of a luxury item in a hobby that is all about luxury items.
This isn't even a case of "don't be entitled" because the problem here seems to be that they're trying to please everyone and some people don't want to shoulder that cost.
But again-...
Echoing Shadewing... you're not required to buy anything. If the prices and options aren't to your liking you can choose not to buy.
But for those who are ok with their prices they get a plethora of options.
That's not even the main point though. PrimalxConvoy complained about figures...
You... you don't need to use every sticker ToyHax includes in a set. In fact a lot of that "bloat" are redundant options to give the customer agency.
I get that this may chafe you, buying stickers you don't need, but I'm always going to be a fan of giving customers options.
The vast majority of humanity identifies with one gender or another, so giving these space robots who are so unlike humans in a lot of ways gendered presentation helps us, the audience, identify with them.
I'd prefer to go "they just have gender, ok?" and run with that because G1 did that and...
My Seeker wishlist is...
Jungle Attack Starscream (preferably as a new character)
Blackout
Sunstorm
G2 Starscream
Bitstream (we have a Hotlink and generic purple Air Warrior so why not?)
Just go all out. And preferably in the ER mould. The Siege Tetrajet mould is fine, but I prefer the F-15 ER...
Pretty much. IDW2 had it that the Autobots led Cybertron in beating down some Old God-esque abomination entity at some point in the past that led to them being in charge of the planet, and Nominus Prime made a decision to stop colonizing planets and preserve energy as a means to recover from the...
tbf I never needed my toys to transform into rocks to have an excuse to throw them around. My sister's ponies and Barbies know of the carnage wrought 😛
Like I've lowkey been getting into Battle Beasts lately and I've personal canon'd the Monsterbots as Transtectors for White Leo, Platinum Tiger, and Hedgehog to command after getting Cybertronian enhancements. So the idea of more alien options who have their own distinct feel is 100% welcome,
Oh my.
Ok. My two cents? Weaponizers? Meh. They were cool design wise, but they looked like standard Cybertronians, gimmicks aside. Only they looked like generics I couldn't be bothered for. Fossilisers? Creative certainly, and I get why a lot of people like them, but the idea of them being...
