"Hey Muzzle, it's a good thing you Nebulans can shape shift so you can hide out on earth! Your school girl look is chic! And Nightbeat's new red and white colour scheme is pretty sharp!"
Eh, it's just an idea. If I had my way it would "Kayansa" or something like that. Turn the Japanese pronunciation into a whole new name.
I'm a huge MF and Victory fan, and while I get that "Cancer" is a name that can't be used in the West, I don't think that means retconning him out. The...
Sure, but they're specifically naming him after the Hasbro version of the character(s)
And ultimately it doesn't matter, people can call figures whatever they want.
My point is that when it comes to what Hasbro officially puts down tends to marginalize or adapt out the MF human characters...
The Titanmaster is specifically called out as Lokos though, the Nebulan partnered with Squeezeplay in Hasbro's version of the Headmaster mythos. So... aside from Browning (who isn't even called out on the packaging) nothing suggests the Masterforce character.
And while "Cancer" is a hard name...
I'm a JG1 fan so I'm with you, I like the MF crew.
But like as recently as that Legacy United four pack at Target with Squeezeplay... they went with "Lokos" as his Headmaster instead of Cancer, even though they made a point to include a Browning-styled accessory, and Browning's whole thing in...
I was going to pass initially because I still have my Cybertron version of him, but I also decided to go all in on the Thirteen from AotP. So I figured I'd pick him up before the after market spiked his value.
He's not perfect but the ToyHax stickers and leg covers help a lot. I have the DNA...
I have a Toyota with the eco mode option. Saves me a fair bit on gas.
But yeah... I have a few independent comic/hobby shops around me, and a fair bit of Targets and Walmarts.
So I can get a good hunt in provided the time's there.
I donno. I'm not opposed to online retail but I rather get...
My opinion may not matter much since I still have that Universe Blurr repainted from Drift as my collection's Blurr but I prefer the TR Blurr mould to either the SS '86 version or Velocitron Legacy version.
Even then though, I like it more for other characters like Brainstorm, Nautica, and yes...
I have the FansHobby FireGuts version of Power Baser. That thing definitely owns the chunky aesthetic of the G1 packaging art, but the TT version looks perfectly fine and even seems to scale with Generations stuff. Meaning it'll be far more manageable than Power Baser.
Will be keeping an eye on...
As strange as it sounds given how controversial these toys are, I'm content with Arcee between ER and Studio Series '86. I don't think you're getting a better Arcee at retail unless they sell a Deluxe sized toy at like... a Voyager price point. And while they've done that before I'm not sure...
