Finished the season. It was great. Skeletor remains the best. It almost feels like Episode 7 would have been a more natural break for the story.
-ZacWilliam, 8 does have some pretty big cliffhangers though.
Saw the first 2 1/2 of the new Kids Motu (wish there was a better way to refer to it) before I had to head into work this morning. They remained really good.
I think this really might be the best skeletor ever anywhere. He's so damn fun. Especially in the first half the third episode...
I really like these designs in every way but the faces. I get it's the movie look, but they're unpleasant enough it's kinda putting me off getting them.
-ZacWilliam, Wheeljack is probably the only complete exception and Arcee the worst which is a shame because otherwise I like her.
Went through the big bag of botbots I got for my son when they were coming out. Yup, everyone but Kickme.
-ZacWilliam, so do I take a 50/50 chance of getting one of the right 5 packs from Amazon or spend a teeny bit more on Ebay...
That'd be a great fit.
But I don't think we can expect them to dig that deep. With all the flaws in Megatron seeming to lead from "Keep it Iconic as Possible" I expect BB will follow that lead.
ZacWilliam, curious if the robot mode will have any obvious fake Volkswagen parts.
Sadly this is retail price for a Commander Class figure and between size and including a G.I.Joe figure that's pretty much what it is.
-ZacWilliam, modern masterpieces have grown much pricier.
Yeah they could have done Masterpiece level engineering if you want to pay Masterpiece prices. Does $200 to $300 sound good for this?
Generations retail prices mean retail style product.
-ZacWilliam, I also expect this being a Hasbro originating and supported project and maybe not of much...
Not that Hasbro would go that retro but if they were i would think they'd shoot for a 84-85 aesthetic.
-ZacWilliam, don't get me wrong I love 87 and later toys, but if we're imagining them going a level of retro they never have before I feel like they'd go all the way.
God that looks fun. Yay!
I wish this had been out when the toys launched years ago... I think between me and my son we have the whole Lost Bots tribe except maybe the Soccer Ball. Gonna have to check into that.
-ZacWilliam, I do hope there's a new toyline matching these designs in the near...
I said it elsewhere but what I feel like is they really wanted it to look like G1 Cartoon Megatron and it's largely because they did that rather than create a new design for Megatron that was designed from the start to turn into a Hiss that they ended up with something awkward and kibble-ish...
Makes sense that they'd want to save Prime for a Joe vehicle.
I'm still pulling for a Havoc for him.
-ZacWilliam, I expect that or Bumblebee as a Vamp (because of the Movie Jeep Bee).
We know Mosquitara is coming for villains. I feel like there was maybe another one but if so I don't remember who. King Hiss and the Snake Men are in the trailer but I don't think we've heard a hint of toys yet.
edit: Just realized only female mosquitos suck blood so the change makes sense on...
That doesn't really suggest anything on the Joe side to me except the old chrome armored Super Trooper, which does use the word Trooper but doesn't suggest a vehicle. Obviously it suggests Megatron in the TF side. We shall see.
ZacWilliam, not that they can't make a previously other color...
Yeah if it's going to interact with a 3 3/4 figure and TF it's either gonna need to be a very small Joe or Cobra vehicle OR a big and expensive Transformer toy I think.
If I were me I'd be doing a little side line like Walmart, Target and Amazon get with something like
Deluxe Sized
Trouble...
I would assume it needs to be something relatively Iconic for Joe or Cobra for me that's actually a fairly small vehicle pool. Basically:
and
-ZacWilliam, obviously some of these are likely than others. OP might be a good fit for the Havoc though...
I'm not surprised they are making it, because it made a lot of money. Lot of people in hollywood will see that money and only the potential of matching it. That's the Producer viewpoint.
I'm also not surprised that a lot of the public is like "Why." The film did great largely on the back of the...
Yeah, this is what I'm hoping for. There was plenty set up in Season 1 that I expected the final eps to deal with in some way and they kinda did nothing. Rangers never even learned of the existence of Tube Girl and she was right there with them in the whole last battle. I hope more actually...
Ha. I was starting to wonder if they'd pulled the plug on it behind the scenes.
-ZacWilliam, seems bizarre not to have a toyline prepped to go with it....
