Oh I get it, and while most of them were debunked, even if true at the time; its just my autism made me want to point out how that one was still a factor in how how Hasbro operates.
I'll admit the Retro Japanese packaging ended up being part of the reason I pre-ordered the set. Cool, fun, or unique packaging will almost always get me interested in something, and retro japanese packaging isn't something we see a lot of.
Technically, that one is still true. Look at how much they space out the Dinobots or Insecticons when they release them. At regular retail, non-core class, Devastator would probably take a couple years to complete.
The change in proportions is probably them trying to match how he looked in the cartoon.

I respect a lot of Titanium figures just for what they tried to accomplish. Some work a lot better then others, but Rodimus is about mid-way in my opinion. He's not as good as guys like RiD Prime or G1 Ultra Magnus, but he's still miles a head of things like G1 Soundwave or that weird Megatron...
So I have a suggestion, kinda a predicition. I'd like to see Scraphook done up as Frankenstein, maybe using the old crossover Hulk head as a stand in. Since I feel Project Francis might be him, and I feel a Junkion might be the best choice for him due to their 'cobbled togeather' looks.

Even as a kid, I remember not being fond of Leatherhead becuase of the pose they put him in. He always felt more limited in play becuase of his not being more upright.
