The Twit destroying Twitter is a Twaitor

Wait, so the option he took away because he didn't like how many people were saying it was "ban them totally"? This is confusing.

    Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

What are they saying? The worst even I can muster is that it's hilariously lame. Imagine getting actually angry about this—and I say that as the guy whose thread on NFTs is literally named "The blockchain is going to destroy everything".

Quality of Life Improvements That Make Old Games Impossible to Play

I honestly wonder how they expected kids to figure any of that stuff out, barring "buy the strategy guide/magazine that straight-up tells them all the solutions" (which they will never admit to even if it was the intent). The official answer was "They'll exchange tips on the playground", but...

    Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

Social media site modeled after Twitter encourages people to post hot takes; in other news, water is wet. I'm sure once they've had time to cool off, they'll realize that this is actually a brilliant idea that their Dear Leader had, and that actually they never said or believed otherwise, yes...

Nobody has the intention to invade Ukraine

Allowing people in wartorn countries to communicate with each other and the outside world is literally the one good thing Twitter ever did for humanity. So naturally Musk had to get rid of that. Well, that and he's actively trying to throw the war in Russia's favor for reasons we still haven't...

    P&R Funnies!

I feel like the following panel is equally relevant: Calvin being sent to his room and saying "But worse is more likely."

What stupid thing did the GOP say or do this time? Episode 3!

Is that the first time any sitting member of Congress has openly come out in support of the insurrection like that? The Democrats had better be pushing for her expulsion immediately.

    The Super Mario Bros. Movie

I have another "prediction" that's really more of a "thing I hope they do": there's a scene somewhere in the middle of the movie that ends with something going wrong, and it cuts to everyone's worried faces before fading out—you know, like in every cartoon ever—and the background score ends with...

Why do people only use the "Like" emoji but not the faces?

Generally, good practice in web design is to not have the same object do one thing if you click it and a different, equally useful thing if you mouse over it and wait for a moment. Also helps to not label said object with only one of those two things. I'm directing this at the Xenforo guys...

We live in a capitalist dystopia

He sure as hell won't if he's actually taking as big a loss on this stuff as Wonko suggested. It'd have to be offsetting the combined profit margins of the entire pharmaceutical industry. Even in this economy, no one is that rich. I was wondering out loud if this is also available through...

We live in a capitalist dystopia

Oh sure, but when there's a difference between $47 and $9657, it seems unbelievable that the manufacturers's markup isn't a huge part of that. Especially since the distributors and retailers are actually competing with each other and have an incentive to keep their margins small.

    Anti-Semitism

Wow. Is this the threshold where I can demand a user be instantly and permanently banned, "free speech" be damned? Or am I going to have to do something I'll regret in the morning?

We live in a capitalist dystopia

Hang on. That implies that it's not the manufacturers who were responsible for the insane markups in the first place. That can't be right.

He's never had to face any real consequences for anything in his entire life so far; why start now? I'm sure this will magically go away just like every other problem he's ever had, but he'll find a way to throw a hissy fit about it anyway.

Who's trying to break the internet today?

Two bills are in the works right now that would severely mess things up: the "Kids Online Safety Act" and the "Journalism Competition and Preservation Act". The latter is just straight-up terrible, as it is just the latest attempt to mandate a "link tax" on anyone who posts a link to a news...
