Well, would you trust an IOU from the cops?

    Adventures in home computing!

No, that's from the mini-desktops. The fan was definitely laptop-esque, though; it's one of those weird fans that has to pull from a vent that's perpendicular to the chip so it has a million blades and they're not scooped like a desktop fan.

    Adventures in home computing!

My dad works at a school, as I believe I have mentioned before, and sometimes brings their garbage home. One time it was a bunch of laptops and a couple mini-desktops. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, as my own home rig I had been upgrading like the Ship of Theseus since 2008 had...

The Twit destroying Twitter is a Twaitor

Hell, I don't trust anyone to do that. And neither should anyone else. No one can be trusted with the power to literally control other people's minds. Not even a handful of volunteers.

We live in a capitalist dystopia

Counterpoint: Oh boo hoo the cops had to pay for something they need to do their jobs instead of being able to exploit people for free stuff for a change. A whole hundred fifty even, like that could have bought a whole half a gun, maybe. It would be different if VW was refusing to even accept...

The Twit destroying Twitter is a Twaitor

The thing is, running out of customers will only be a "problem" to them in the sense that there's no one left to fleece for even more money. By which point there's also no more money to be gained in the first place. Why would they accept the offer to give all their money away just so they can...

The Last of Us - Part 1

I'm just now realizing that the reason they did that in the first place was probably because it would have been way too much work to have to design, code, and animate an entire playable fighting game, even if there would only have been two functional characters in it. Well, that and if it was...

And literally everything else. "Theory" doesn't mean "hypothesis" in the scientific world, because why use a word to mean the same thing it does to the layman when you can just co-opt it to mean something completely different and then get mad at the laymen for continuing to use it the way they...

Hundreds this week, but he's likely to lose the rest of them if he doesn't find some new means of distribution because his own syndicate also dropped him. The Plain Dealer dropped it so fast, they didn't even have time to find a replacement, so they're just running a gray box with the text "New...

What stupid thing did the GOP say or do this time? Episode 3!

    "Gamers say the darnedest things!"

Video games are weird. Even the comparatively-normal ones involve doing things that are well outside the realm of ordinary human behavior. Consequently, you might catch yourself, or a streamer/Let's Player saying something that makes perfect sense in context but would sound utterly insane to...

    Building a new Gaming PC!

How'd that work out, by the way? I got some old mini-desktops a while back with the thought that at least one of them could become a makeshift DVR, but I haven't looked into how to actually set one up nowadays. Now that Windows Media Center Edition is no longer a thing and all.

    Anti-Semitism

Yeah, if politicians had to avoid ever being seen with other politicians who any of their constituents or fellow party members had issues with, no two politicians would ever be in a room together.

Legislation to increase the size of the House and Senate and restore the Supreme Court to its original role

Also, the cap on the number of representatives might have been motivated by the concern that they were going to run out of room in the House chamber. If they're planning to add over a hundred more all at once, they'd better be prepared to start offering a remote-work option.

Legislation to increase the size of the House and Senate and restore the Supreme Court to its original role

Honestly, given that the House was meant to represent the people at large, ideally we should do away with Congressional districts entirely and have all of its members be elected by all voters. But there's not really any good way to do that. You can't expect every single voter to pick a couple...
