A fair point. I still believe that he is likely to be the tip of the iceberg as far as Republican dissatisfaction with their candidate goes.

Personally, if I was running the Republican party, I would be very concerned that the party's choices have resulted in registered republicans taking up arms against their own candidate. That would make me a think a significant number of Republicans would not be happy voting for Trump.

I can't believe it was staged simply because it would have been so easy for something to go wrong and for Trump to actually be taken out. That would have been counter-productive.

It's good. It's like someone is actually trying to do something instead of sitting around saying "well, the Supreme Court is against us and several of its members are blatantly corrupt. There's nothing to be done." It tells people that something can be done, if the Democrats are given enough power.
