Yeah, that's pretty much the story. It was fairly common at the time for parents to send their kids in alone to watch G rated movies, so that means only 1 ticket sold per kid. But PG rated movies were more of a "parent should probably stay with the kid through the movie" thing (it seems odd...
Yeah, the set still had a lot of the parts on the sprues, and the parts that were off the sprues looked barely used. I had been pining for some ever since seeing Haywire's collection.
Well, after keeping an eye on ebay for reasonably priced Robolinks sets, I bought an almost complete Force 30 that came with a smattering of other bots/accessories. While very fun to mess with on their own, I also love that the various Modulator style bots can mix with them as well.
No, no! That's for kids pretending to be an adult! You need to go the other way, an outfit that makes you appear to be 3 kids stacked on top of each other:
Heck, they used it in Transformers the Movie, a film for children, in 1986!
Glad to hear it looks to be a good movie. I've been looking forward to this one quite a bit!
Hasbro Pulse just listed it for $300. Better than $400, but still too pricey for me. I think it's neat, but I don't collect Zoids or Diaclone, so it's nothing I need.
I somehow missed out on that rumor (or at least have no memory of it, it could very well be that I saw it and forgot about it). Now I'm sad that it almost happened but didn't.
Jaws x Transformers crossover when? I mean, the new Skybyte is right there. It just needs to be in a 2-pack with a new mold Autobot that transforms into the Orca!
The three Decepticon targetmasters-now-headmasters are so good. I have a weakness for made up spaceships, and these three just trigger that so hard. Them all being based off the same engineering makes them flow together so well yet each have very unique looks.
Me and the wife were watching an old 70's Hammer horror movie one night and there's a scene where the Dracula has a couple captured. The wife has been hypnotized, and to prove his power over her, Dracula makes the wife spit in her husband's face. I added, in my best MST3K impression, "Jokes on...
Saw it over the weekend. Was very dark/washed out looking, but I'm like 95% sure that that was just an issue with my theater's projector, not anything to do with the film itself. Like Fero said, it was pretty much 1:1 with the animated version, so it's still a very good story/movie. I think I...
Yeah, it would be interesting to see a version of G1 where they wake up 4 million years later on earth, but when they do get back to Cybertron, it's current state is as foreign to them as Earth is.
Cybertronians living for millions of years was always a mistake, I think. It became necessary to explain why the Ark and Nemesis crews could be knocked out for 4 million years but still know everyone on Cybertron when they woke up, but I'd 100% be ok leaving that in the past for future...
