It could have been wilder. Earlier drafts also had earth ponies building a great wall to keep everyone else out. That got dropped because Hasbro thought it sounded too timely, though its actual purpose was just to set up a 'Vault Dweller seeing the world for the first time' moment.
Yeah. G5 is a G-rated post apocalyptic future built on the ruins of a civilization no one remembers. Earth ponies, unicorns, and pegasuses stopped living together at some point due to some vague calamity, and they don't remember that they ever lived together in the first place. History has been...
G5 is dead. Flopped is a strong word though. It was doing okay. But then Hasbro managed to lose $1.5 BILLION in 2023 and they needed to rethink the meaning of okay.
I want to believe Hasbro is too proud to approve the eternally recycled "in the real world" script. I expect something more ambitious than that. Good? I don't know. But more ambitious.

Here's hoping. If they're done, they could just skip the show entirely. Not having a panel but still having some presence could mean "We have nothing to announce at the moment, but don't forget about us. WINK."
I'm starting to think Microsoft gave up on their phone too easily. As a lifelong Windows user, "too new to run it" is an unfamiliar concept.
But for that matter, has anyone confirmed that this game ever ran on anything? I have never heard of anyone actually playing it, and I am curious about...
