Moved Unicron off my desk since my new shelf can accomodate him. May as well make a theme display.
The deluxe insecticons are Unicron minions now i guess.
Given how simple Metroplex’s transformation is, having base mode orange parts that swap around to white robot parts would be cool. Would tie in Metroplex to the Autobot City transformation scenes where orange structures folded up to reveal white guns and stuff.
finally put together the Realize Model Blade Liger. Simple straightforward build but I did paint everything but the blue. Blue was the perfect shade so I just hit it with a gloss coat. Only issue is that the cockpit doesn’t like to close completely but eh I don’t use the pilot figures anyway.
I'd like it better if it did something other than making the robots taller. Even something as simple as having a super mode head.
Energon Optimus might be a decent Commander/ new Titan though.
I think the problem is more of the characters are highly complex and would require higher price points in proportion to their popularity. RID had a lot of Autobots, and he wasn't even the only combiner among them.
I think it was decent but the Godzilla reveal was overly stretched out to the point it was annoying. Dude knew how to portray giant creatures though. Since he doesn’t have to hide them until the climax this time, I’ll give it some goodwill.
I don’t mind made up dinosaur monsters too much if the movies are good (first world was okay and all downhill from there). I do mind that the toy makes the D-Rex look ridiculous and the trailers make it seem superfluous to the other predatory dinosaurs overall.
rebirth trailers look decent...
They usually include effect parts for a repaint down the line. I don't see how they could do that with this one though, since all three phases are accounted for and the original release is already shiny gold.
