I mean, the Romulan also said Temporal "Wars" which means the entire history of Star Trek could be more Doctor Who-ey than any of us could have fathomed.

Additionally, no one is being radically redesigned here. These are, more or less, the G1 interpretations you would expect.

I mean, the show runner said he wanted to have had Ro beamed off by the Changelings and kept prisoner only to be rescued later. It was going to be a whole thing but there just wasn't time.
