After seeing this post I was like, damn Tri Rex looks pretty cool. What do his robot modes look like again? Its been a while since I looked at them, so I did a search and oh my god they are pure terror.
....still might want...
See, I feel while the covenant laid out *A* history for them, there can be others. Better ones, even. But you are right, that initial, mysterious allure is why I cared about them and still do. That renegade lore making was great to see.
Any concept/story can be great if its written well. The potential is *always* there.
The 13 have forever fascinated me, and the fact the brand has gone head first in to them with an entire line, where each of them has their own thing going on, is great to see.
Retconning him as Sentinel has always drove me nuts. I guess it doesn't hurt anything, but I liked him being separate. But if he has to be sentinel prime in a line of primes then let it rip.
I am really here for this line's repaints/remolds. I hope more FFOD cameos are hiding beneath the surface.
This has to be on its way *eventually*.
And yes, Uhaul bot is the dream too.
As we have chipped away at every possible holy grail over the past 40 years, all the FFOD designs still remain on my want list. I'm so glad this series is taking some inspiration from that and if a more screen accurate "Prima" is our future, let's gooo.
(crosses fingers for "sentinel prime"...
This line is *perfect* for working in these Diaclone guys. I have yet to buy any, but I really love this line.
What is depressing is that whenever we get to Wheeljack, we wont get an accurate Exhaust. I mean, obviously. BUT I still want to see what that compromise looks like, though.
What is astounding, continuity and testing one's patience issues aside, is that the ending of The Last Knight just absolutely *ravages* the Earth. Like, its just completely obliterated and the sci fi dystopian nature of Earth's new status quo was something the franchise was never going to...
Like, Transformers doesn't need GI Joe, but if these things would have happened, Transformers would have at least dragged GI Joe with it in to the lime light.
I mean, I wouldn't hate any of the retreading, if done right.
Already, if only a few things we changed we'd have-
NEST as GI Joe
Dylan Gould and his entire conspiracy could be a version of Extensive Enterprises and an extension of Cobra itself.
Cemetery Wind could be an insurgent branch of...
Like, take any *successful* action movie where there are good guys and bad guys and you already have what is basically a G.I. Joe movie. Someone just has to care enough to give the movie heart, characters and an actual purpose.
I mean, the live action transformers has always been *basically* a TF and GI Joe crossover in all but name only. The concept will always worm, but it requires GI Joe to integrate and graft itself in to Transformers, not the other way around.
It can be really incredible, but someone has to want...
I love this, but Slag is just staring everyone down from Dinoking's chest. I just wish the dinosaur heads had been remolded. Grimlock's noggin is so iconic, it stands out too.
BUT!!! Still getting them. I let Volcanicus fly right by me for this very reason. Long live Dinoking. Maybe that's a...
Tidalwave is really the next titan that is a *must own* for me.
But if they do a Metroplex and/or Fort Max that is upscaled "G1 with knees" its gonna be hard for me to resist. I normally steer for new guys, but those designs are just so iconic, and at that size, they'l be hard to resist. Not...
