Boy that's an awful lot of red and white on the Autobot side...
Good to see they're sticking with small casts of about 5 bots per side, though, at least to begin with. I always feel like that's the sweet spot for starting out a team book/show.
Which isn't as good as it sounds, unfortunately, because 1) inflation (quick google tells me roughly 20% from Dec 2018 to now) and 2) difference in budget (Bumblebee had a budget of ~$135M, ROTB had a budget of $200M). Not good to make 80% as much but cost 1.5x.
It's no bomb, but I think it...
Finally got around to seeing this (had left on vacation the day it came out). And I found it to be just exceedingly... meh? Tepid? There's nothing bad about it (except in the sense that being boring can be worse than 'bad'), but not much memorably good either. A lot of scenes that felt like they...
Not a lot that grabs me out of this bunch; my thoughts mostly echo Phazer's. The only one I like the look of is Dreadwing and even then I'd rather have a Skyquake, King Atlas or MW Starscream.
I want to like that Optimus but the cab pieces adding so much red to the legs really throws it off for...
I'm definitely a bit surprised the "secretly relaunch TF in Void Rivals" thing turned out to be true, but makes for a cute gimmick, even if it did cost me $4. The comic (Void Rivals #1) itself is okay, a bit decompressed for my liking. It does need some space to allow the artwork to really...
The tweet doesn't even specify what "it" is. Could be a TV show or something.
But, definitely within the realm of possibility. As you say, if there's gonna be military guys in a TF movie, why not make them Joes?
(I still want a Fast and Furious/Transformers crossover movie first though)
Got notice from BBTS that Armada Prime is in stock and ready to ship. Pretty quick for a toy that was revealed only a month ago.
Feels wrong to ship him while still waiting for Armada Megs but he's not expected until August...
Fully animated movie + crazy cast list, almost to the point it feels like a month-late April Fool's joke.
I like all of those actors, though it's hard to me to envision Hemsworth and Henry as a Prime and Megatron, even young ones.
99% desktop.
Occasionally view on a phone (Android) but it's pretty rare that I can't wait until I'm sitting at the desktop to check, which is FAR easier to interact with.
Thank Primus.
Next step is convincing them to start packaging everything in alt-mode again...
EDIT: Re-reading the statement again, sounds like this doesn't apply to Transformers? It's not one of the listed brands and I don't think they fall within "6-inch figures."
Pulling up the live stream, a lot of the toys do look a lot better on video than they do in the official shots. BLC looks much more black, Axel Grease looks way cooler, etc. And Armada Megs does have the waist cannon.
Black Lio Convoy doesn't look very black, instead it's burnished steel... which is fine, I guess, but I doubt it's what most people are looking for.
Dirge's tan seems a bit too bright, but could just be the lighting.
Armada Megs looks great but looks to really miss his accessories and needs...
At first I was mildly amused that both Orion and Dion are now Kup remolds, but that actually makes a lot of sense as all three could be roughly from the same time period and thus have similar designs.
Went ahead and pre-ordered Cloudcover on Walmart. The comments here about their pre-order history has me leery, but they give me free shipping and didn't feel like paying $7 shipping on a $35 on Pulse. So, will take my chances.
It'd be cool to know what some of the thinking/discussions were...
Cloudcover looks great and I'm tempted, especially to pair with G2 Sandstorm.
Toxitron and Grimlock also look great, but since I already have those molds I'm not sure I'll take the plunge. Be interested to see the G2 Grimlock for real, though.
That Jazz though... why? I've never figured that...
