(raises hand)
Didn't get it when it came out (plenty of Optimuses over the years) but by the time I had seen enough reviews talking it up enough to get me interested, it had already ballooned in price.
I feel kinda dumb, when I first saw the release on Pulse I thought it was all four separate turtles that combined into one van. I realized $50 was a really good price, but, I dunno, maybe my brain thought they were Legends-sized or something. In retrospect, yeah, all four combining into a van...
Nautica wouldn't count, not because she's a retool as opposed to a redeco (I don't think it was meant that specifically), but she was a toy of a comics-only character. I think you might be able to argue some leeway if the character came out simultaneously as a toy and in media (like, I do think...
I don't think the mold has to itself be G1 (as in, 1984-1990) but it has to be a mold that was meant as a (pre-existing) G1 character, so that leaves out guys like the Rock Lords or Fossilizers. Does that also exclude someone like Axlegrease, since Scraphook is a neo-G1 character?
I think some...
That does look pretty good. Not sure if I would've preferred toy black over the cartoon's dark blue - the former is "cleaner" but the latter is more interesting/unique I think.
Wouldn't mind seeing this in other color schemes too. I only ever had the Dirge repaint of the original Voyager mold.
Yeah the Breakdown/Windsweeper pairing seems unfortunate. I've seen lots of love for the Bulkhead/Breakdown mold as a toy, but so far it seems to keep getting used for characters it doesn't really fit with - the proportions are just all wrong for Breakdown.
Not exactly news, but Hasbro Pulse was updated with new pictures of Thunder Machine Soundwave, and figured they were snazzy enough to be worth posting here:
That is a pretty decent BM Cheetor, though the giant clonker front paws look sillier the more I see them. I wonder if it'll get a Nightslash color scheme release.
I dunno on Sandstorm. My first thought (without knowing his size class) was that I might pick him up if he were a voyager, but at $55 for a Leader, I doubt it. I know inflation has required cost-cutting to keep the same price points but it just looks light. That said, I do like that he got the...
Same, I considered it but ultimately I think I'll wait and see if he ever makes it to clearance, though it won't surprise me if he's too popular for that to happen. Lack of shelf space and "not different enough from the Armada toy I already have" are biggies.
Same thing. I even found a Brawn in a store the other day and again debated getting him, but in the end decided I'm not gonna be paying $25 for a deluxe that I'm not immediately sold on. Though every time I skip a guy like this I worry in 5 years I'll be regretting it. At least for Brawn I still...

(note, has a cover of #7 which may be somewhat spoiler-y)
Looks like a new artist as of #7, though DWJ will still be writing. Spicer will still be the colorist and Corona's artwork looks...
Yeah issue #4 was great. Really felt like things are moving along again, and quite a few striking panels... definitely was not expecting Optimus' arm replacement, even with the "what's in the trailer?" moment beforehand. And I loved the scene with the kid being awestruck at Prime turning into a...
Looking at the list of what came out this year I realize I didn't really buy all that much, but didn't really realize it because I bought a bunch in 2022 and kinda trickled out opening them (just opened Minerva earlier this month, for example... and still haven't unboxed Motormaster yet...) Most...
