    Lego and other brick toys

I was not really collecting Vidiyo per se; I hunted down the figs that appealed most to me, and picked up a few more sets when they got clearanced. I have the red Dragon, but he must be stored in another bin. These are the groups that I stored together: I like shark minifigs, so these were high...

    Lego and other brick toys

I saw the Series 2 Bandmates Vidiyo figs exactly one time at a Walmart. Got the Alien Dancer, and I think the Robot DJ, but didn't find the dragon or the slime man. Nice that you found some good ones!

The "What made you happy today" thread!

So, a while back, we bought a bunch of used Lego sets from some friends. They were upfront that most sets were 99% complete other than minifigures, and most have been 100%. Haywire3 has been building them from time to time, and when he's missing a piece, he comes to me to help find the piece or...

    Transformers: EarthSpark

Got Hashtag and Soundwave at our nearest Target last night! Super-excited to have decent representations of the whole Terran family! (Spitfire is the quick-change version, but it's better than a finger puppet!) Attached the receipt, though I don't think the product number will help online. Just...

That's the set where the shoulder cannon attaches to the backpack and can swing up, right? Other than my nostalgic attachment to the armor in Force 22, that is probably my favorite design of the 3. The riot shield is a pretty cool accessory!

I would love to see that altmode and deco on a slightly less janky robot mode!

Awesome! I wonder if Ultraman Great and Ultraman Powered will be able to be released some time soon, too?

    The Toku Thread

I'm not seeing any promotional material saying it's the last Ultra-series? Has this been confirmed? Or, from what I'm seeing, this seems to be set on an alternate earth that's never had kaiju or Ultras before; so maybe he's the last Ultra in-universe?

    The Toku Thread

Most of the "Strong Form" Ultras tend to ramp up the red colors in the costume, but yeah, this one really does look like Zearth at first glance... On a related note, got the Mill Creek Blu-Ray for Ultraman Z, and it has both the Japanese with subtitles AND the English dub! Pretty excited to...

Thread of Thoughts, Questions (and Maybe Even Answers) That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

I've said before, I'd like to see a semi-re-imagining of the Constructicons and Devastator into a more-Scramble City-like combination system, and add new Constructicons that turn into Sky Cranes, Steam Rollers, Earth Boring Machines, etc. to change up the limbs on old Devvy. So, this morning on...

The RiD01 Train team was legit one of the coolest teams ever! My biggest issue with any train team is that they're all engines. No rail cars, just engines. Yeah, technically you can have a train of engines, but what's the point if they aren't pulling anything? The unused Rails character from the...

It sticks in my mind that you are right; when I was looking for these 15 or so years ago, there was another toyline with the same or similar name that cropped up on ebay more often than these. Now, though, this is the only Robolinks I saw with a quick search.

Lastly, I wanted to call attention to the cockpits. These are all the basic variations I have: The 2 largest ones have retractable heads for forming super-robots: The largest one even has a further large head for even bigger robots: And what goes in those cockpits? Drivers! These guys remind...

So, this image is based on some promotional artwork I'm sure I saw for the original Takara Blockman. There was a combined bot standing on a floor and in front of a wall made up of Blockman bots. Can't find the image now, of course... A couple extra angles on the floor and wall structure. Plenty...

Packaging and Instructions from some of the larger sets: The boxes used Styrofoam inserts; I know those weren't the best for the environment, but the 80s kid in me still gets nostalgic for that. Also, somehow I have boxes for Force 40 and 42, but no instructions? Also also, the hose...

The base Robolinks bots. There are 2 designs, but notice that even the arms and legs have different detailing despite having the same shape and construction. As far as I know, there was no running change, and larger sets came with examples of both designs. Colors would vary quite a bit, though...
