Thread of Thoughts, Questions (and Maybe Even Answers) That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

Another thing I kinda miss is the alternate color figures. Red Bumblebee and Yellow Cliffjumper never got separate characters, but they were intentionally released to pad out the line. It would be cool if we could get those in the Retro carded series as a nod to the original releases.

Thread of Thoughts, Questions (and Maybe Even Answers) That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

Coming back to the citybot discussion, in theory I am in favor of larger citybots that have playset compatibility with Legend/Legion/Core/Gobots scale figures. In theory. In reality, though, I don't have the budget or space to collect citybots. But that doesn't mean I don't love a lot of the...

    Which way, western bots?

My first introduction to most of these characters was their respective cartoons, so if I had to pick one deco, I think I prefer cartoon. That said, there are many toy decos that I also like, so I'm glad we usually get choices.

Transformers: Age of the Primes toyline discussion || update: stock renders of upcoming Alpha Trion, Micronus, Flatline, Fireflight, Skydive, ++

My sets (ordered on Amazon) are showing shipped but not out for delivery yet. If they do get delivered, hopefully I can get to them quickly because we have downpours of rain all day today...

Post Pictures of your Transformers, Let's see 40 years worth of Transformers!

It's a tricky landscape to navigate; buy something when you see it at full retail, or wait for a sale and maybe never see it again. My rule of thumb has been "if it's a new or unusual character, buy it now. If it's the 13th iteration of a G1S1 character with slight improvements, wait and see."...

New "Wildocking" Animal Limb Combiners from TakaraTomy

Given that it seems like Cyberworld is going to have different zones or levels or worlds, I would think Hasbro could slot Wild King into it as a subline fairly easily (assuming the figs would pass US safety tests, etc). I do also like many of the figures we've seen from Cyberworld, but would...

    Swapticons (new gimmick line)

My Walmart has them, but I haven't bought any yet. I feel like most of the Walmarts around have them out now, but I'm not necessarily looking for them everywhere.

Random Thoughts From Out of Nowhere

It's far from the best of the Heisei series, for sure, but there's something I find endearing about the inept Terminator-knockoff story. And it gave us Mecha Ghidorah. And the soundtrack is awesome!

It's always a fine line, because a Deluxe/Voyager-scaled line seems to provide more opportunity for retooling/alternate tooling and better paint apps for all those cool obscure characters and homages that we've been seeing in the modern lines. Not to mention little buddies like Cassettes...

    The Repaint Concept Thread

I feel like the G1-flavor BW Megatron would work better if it were retooled into a Dino-Riders-like armored design...

I am on record saying I want all the key series casts in Core-class or equivalent, but it would be especially apropos for the Beasts.

Random Thoughts From Out of Nowhere

I always liked Mecha King Ghidorah's design; the 4-inch and 6-inch Trendmasters figures were some of my favorite Godzilla foes. I'd vote for the buy...

    Voltron The Movie

Yeah, this is a movie I would go to a theater to see, not gonna pay just for the privilege to stream it. If they release it on physical disc, I'll bite, though.

    Lego and other brick toys

There's some fantastic critters in Dreamzzz, for sure, but they don't have Metal Dragons, Alien Keytarists, or Punk Pirate Sharks. The big hook with the Dreamzzz sets has been alternate builds on a base model, and emphasizing creativity in building. Vidiyo builds were creative, but they were...

...you really don't. This would be one of the times that my wife's hobby of clearance shopping really paid off (did I mention my wife is awesome?): the four rocker dragons here cost less than one at retail! I found these guys in my unsorted Space minifig box, along with the D&D Paladin and...
