  1. G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

In conjunction with the Target Geek Out event, THREE new Python Patrol figures were revealed and put for sale: Python Televiper with Trouble Bubble Python Officer (yes, both this and the prior Python release are labeled officers) Python Copperhead. First two are sold out on Pulse, but I managed...
  2. Autoworkers on Strike

Not sure if this should get bumped to the politics thread with the Hollywood actor/writer strikes, but United Auto Workers (UAW) just went on strike, having significant impact across the nation and is in response to ALL of the “Big Three” (Ford, General Motors, Stellantis (formerly Chrysler))...
  3. The Nintendo Thread of Jumping, Slashing, and Home Decorating

Yes, just finished a little bit ago. I'm watching it now!
  4. The Nintendo Thread of Jumping, Slashing, and Home Decorating

Tomorrow is a new Nintendo Direct! Reportedly the focus will be on the later holiday season and winter line ups. Per usual, these days, dormant franchise F-zero is talked about in the salt mines of rumors. The rumor mills are also churning overtime on reports that Nintendo showed the NGS...
  5. Ahsoka - streaming on Disney+

Is Ashoka breaking new ground? Not really. Am I enjoying it? ABSOLUTELY. I’m still loving how “classically Star Wars” it is, after the mess ObiWan and the Sequel Trilogy did mangling that very idea. It’s just so refreshing to watch a series that uses the Force, but still leaves open for new...
  6. Traitor Watch - The 45 & 47 Thread

I think some of your are VASTLY overrating the life expectancy from a 77 year old, overweight, man with a likely history of drugs and alcohol and a McDonalds addiction.
  7. Generations Selects Appreciation Thread

To be fair, the last time Fortress Maximus has been available was back in 2017 (assuming stock carried into from 2016). In the years since, we've gotten the retro Headmasters and people come and go. Some skipped due to finances and some weren't even collectors at the time. So I greatly...
  8. Hollywood is on Strike

Part of that is because we haven't exhausted all the content that was completed or in post-production when the strike started. We, consumers, aren't apt to really start feeling the impact until next fall, assuming the strike doesn't roll on even longer.
  9. Transformers Legacy toyline

I’d give them a little time. Unless you ordered a case or set, BBTS is probably filling single figure preorders from the solid cases Hasbro ships out. Since Devcon seemed to be a popular choice in that assortment, BBTS might just be waiting on a shipment of Devcon cases before getting to yours.
  10. G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

News is making the rounds that Ollies is getting overstock, probably as part of holiday build up. Transformers fans are seeing Beast Wars reissues, but for Joe fans? Reports are mixed, but the most common stuff that is being reported are Wave 3 (Flint, LJ and Cobra Commander), or at least Lady...
  11. He-Man, and also the Masters of the Universe

I saw these several weeks back, but news is circulating about Ollies getting inventory of Battle Armor He-Man and Skeletor. But at $15.99, they really weren’t terribly impressive prices. I also saw some Wind Raiders at a local one as well.
  12. Transformers: EarthSpark

https://news.tfw2005.com/2023/09/06/takara-tomy-transformers-earthspark-toys-on-exhibit-at-christmas-toyfair-2023-494035 Given how few Earthspark figures I plan on getting, I’m REALLY tempted to just import figures. It’s astounding what a little extra deco can do for these figures. I know...
  13. Thundercats - General Discussion (and some Silverhawks too, whynot)

https://toynewsi.com/345-49468 In a Fwoosh interview, Brian Flynn remarked on the next wave of Silverhawks (which seems to be JUST the Copper Kid and Cycle set) as well as Tigersharks being on the docket…though probably not until 2025
  14. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

I still want a “Classic Maximal” 4 pack with the Core figures in classic Beast Wars deco. Or at least something more colorful in the case of the Voyagers (GREAT molds, lackluster colors) I don’t recall Primal being hard to get last May when stuff first rolled out. But he seemed to move pretty...
  15. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

I’m still a little disappointed (especially with Transformers One getting pushed back) that the product line ended so soon and so sparse. Right now, the only things really left for US retail are for distribution to catch up to Battlemaster Airrazor and Combiners Optimus Prime. And whatever the...
  16. The Mandalorian - streaming on Disney+

The series itself gives a decent “gist” of the concepts introduced in the second season. I will whole heartedly recommend Mandolorian Season 1 and 2. I would even go so far as to say that the ending of season 2 was SO PERFECT that I almost wish they weren’t continuing the series. Also...
  17. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Age of Extinction always came across to me as a…mean?…movie. From the opening where Ratchet is killed, the entire film had this overriding sense of being a “negative” film. There was no hope, no fun to be found. And what they did with the Dinobots LEGITIMATELY made me physically angry. And...
  18. G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

I still feel it’s more a matter of- lower cost pixel art+simple(r) gameplay mechanics+nostalgia= big return on modest investment. Again, I just get the feeling Hasbro farmed out a “low cost Joe game” and these were the parties willing to play ball.
  19. Diablo 4, release date June 6th! Who else is getting it?

It sure feels like I’ve seen The Butcher more often than I should. I finally trudged through and got to Tier 3 (Nightmare) and did my first Nightmare Dungeon. The new “features” I could handle (I had gotten some Sacred gear by this point), but as I was clearing out some Elites…HE called out...
  20. G.I. Joe thread - 09/13/2024: Pulsecon - Dreadnoks, Dogs and Cereal

To be honest, I had never heard of the Arcade game until well into the 2000s. I never really had a “good arcade” when I was young in 92, and pretty much the extent of arcade coverage from magazines was all about Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat.
