    History of the term "Prime"

When Beast Wars Neo rolled around, it seemingly took inspiration from the military council seen in the Beast Wars II manga by introducing the Great Convoys, a group of several robed Convoys who oversaw military governance on Seibertron under the higher authority of Vector Sigma. The main...

    History of the term "Prime"

The mid-to-late 1990s/2000 During the Beast Era, the "Prime" title seemed to take a backseat for a while. The new main factions of Beast Wars were the Maximals and the Predacons, the "descendants" of the Autobots and Decepticons. The Maximals were led not by a single authority figure, but...

    History of the term "Prime"

Recent discussion in the Age of the Primes thread has inspired me to share the following essay here, which I originally wrote on another board in a thread where the OP was asking for an explanation about the Primes. It is very long and will span multiple posts. --- The term "Prime" has had a...

    Sonic The Hedgehog

So, I just watched the following video and was reminded of this post above, here, and according to said video, Jim Carrey actually did once try to get into cartoon voice acting at some point in his career, but the roles he auditioned for were ones where his auditions were bested by the likes of...

New "Wildocking" Animal Limb Combiners from TakaraTomy

The fansubber uploaded a newly revised version of their fansub for the first two episodes. It's a much better translation quality overall. Still a few small typos here and there, and the episode titles in English are incorrect, but an overall significant improvement than before.

Guess we can assume Nexus won't be a combiner unto himself if he's just a Voyager.

If Sentinel had been seen as a friendly ghost in an AllSpark vision in the first movie, and then as the main villain in DOTM, then Sam's vision in the first movie could have been simply written off as a hallucination.

Doubtful. Making Rodimus the "bad guy Prime" feels like something a longtime Rodimus hater would have done, feeding more into that resentment for the character people had for his replacing Optimus back in TFTM.

Not knowing anything about this person, I'm going to guess that that name is derived from "Sailor Iron Mouse" from Sailor Moon.

Yes, but I was saying how the Japanese treatment of these characters didn't fit into the world of the English version. And they only did that because they initially thought BW Convoy was the same person as G1 Convoy. Once it became clear during Metals that they were separate individuals...

All kidding aside... Not unless you count the Lio Convoy and Galva Convoy toys that Fun Pub released back in 2015. Those were US-released and Hasbro-approved. Yeah, and if we're being honest, the whole concept of all those Japanese BW Convoys running around as contemporary Supreme Commanders...

I'm hoping that it's no taller than the original, since the three main hero Convoys of Japanese Beast Wars are all supposed to be equal in height to each other in their organic beast robot forms.
