From what I know of the toy-making process, at least prior to recent (not as sure now), they'd usually make a sculpt from... was it resin? Then cast a metal mold from that, into which...
Goldbug fit the ramps and in his trailer pretty well, as did the other Throttlebots.
Gun turrets were only for Powermaster partners, though.
My complaint with the base is that it left OP himself completely unarmed... unless you didn't mind a lopsided base.
You know, I always wondered how KOs were scaled up or down.
I imagine these days, with 3D scanners and printers and all, it's a lot easier, but back before all that, though?
Oh, I should add that on streams, we're going between Super Mario RPG remake and Mega Man World 5 DX.
Coming up on the end of the latter. We were going to do the former this weekend, but then there was the Amazon/Twitch boycott, and we didn't want to get in the middle of that.
