I think I remember there being a trick to get his two components to connect securely. Or at least I have a vague memory of them not holding together until I did something different. It's been quite a while since I've handled him though, and I can't get to him at the moment, so afraid I can't...

And here I figured a snuggle tooth was when a kitten alternates between snuggling up to you and biting you, while looking equally adorable with either one. 😆

Is there a good place to order those cards in the US? BBTS carried the early waves, but they haven't done so in a while.

If you're going for a multi-changer mold for Amalgamous, I'd point out that we're due for a CR/RiD Mega/Galva/Gigatron to go with Omega Prime.

Concepts and Character arcs to fold into a rebooted G1.

I'd lean into TF One Bumblebee's line about there being a lot of _____waves and make all the highest-ranking Decepticons be named as such. Soundwave's in charge of Intelligence. Shockwave for Science & Engineering. Tidal Wave for the Space & Naval corps. Laserwave (maybe with an Animated Longarm...

    November 11th 1999

It was a bit later for me. I had heard of Allspark, but I had previously joined TFW during the days when they were merged with Transfandom. I don't like to move around much, even online, so I stayed there until I think around 2010. At that point, I was trying to kill some time on a slow day at...

Now all I can think of is imagining a debate between Mayor Pete and Mayor Galvatron. :ROFLMAO: I think the big difference is that there was a lot of love for the character in Roberts's take. Rodimus was the butt of a lot of jokes, but virtually every character in Roberts's books were the butt...

As late as 2009? Have we already forgotten? I mean, I can't say I'd blame anyone who really wants to block it out, but I think it's one of those things that must never be forgotten, lest we allow history to repeat itself. Already way too much of that happening.

Articulation in toys (continued from the Picture thread)

Armada isn't part of my childhood, being the first line to debut when I was an independent adult, just days after I started my career. But since we're talking about it.. My Armada Optimus trailer always worked fine... if I could get it to trigger. Doing so kinda killed the fun of transforming...

Articulation in toys (continued from the Picture thread)

I certainly felt the lack of articulation when I was a kid. It wasn't the end of the world, but it's a big part of why I really don't have a ton of nostalgia for G1 toys. I have plenty of nostalgia for the characters, and have a probably-too-large collection of modern figures, but I set aside...

Finding those Unicron pics made me want to go digging. I found a few other old pictures. Some very, very old... Christmases in the 80s. Clearly, I was on the Decepticons' side right from the start. A few pics from the early 2000s: I'm still disappointed they never made a...

I actually like all the lore, and how it's not at all consistent. I mean, that's mythology in a nutshell. E.g. you can't make a definitive list of all the Greek gods, which ones are considered to be the 12 Olympians, who's descended from who, who was aligned with who, who did what feats, etc...

New "Wildocking" Animal Limb Combiners from TakaraTomy

It is definitely their weapons rather than the partner bots, but it does look like some sort of head augmentation to me. With the camera angle in those images, if it were just the weapons pegged on their backs, you'd expect them to be offset relative to the head. But in those images, it...

It seems very odd that he'd otherwise be a very faithful Star Convoy, but with a PMOP torso. I'll wait to actually see the toy, rather than make any conclusions based on some blurry box art. We've certainly seen plenty of cases of box art not being all that representative of the actual product...
