Stellar Blade

The bonus battle with Scarlet is rough. She's lightning fast; she parries bullets after the first couple of shots, so shooting isn't worth much; she'll react to you trying to use a healing item by charging; and once she goes into her second phase, if you don't get enough perfect parries to break her shield in time, she'll one-shot you.

Managed it after a few tries, but oof, my fingers hurt.

Naturally, the reward is her outfit and hair, which includes her enormous hat. Wearing it replaces Tachy Mode with a single-stroke high-damage hit. The hat might be a little buggy, it seems to clip in and out of existence in dialogue scenes. And also looks kinda silly, considering how much Eve moves her head and nods while talking.

Haven't tried the other bonus fight with Mann yet. Maybe another day. Still got a few more stellar tears to hunt down.

So, I wasn't expecting to bump this thread again, but remember those doors? There's finally a way to open them in the latest patch....


A developer's room with a puzzle for another costume. I don't think I'm interested enough to play through two-thirds of the game again to see it myself (still wish they'd add a chapter select), but it's cool that they actually went back and finished this.
