I missed the Pulse preorder period (dang overnight shifts!), but I got an order in at Amazon for Nova Prime.
I’ve never had a big “thing” for Nova Prime, but I adored the Battle Core Optimus Prime deco from Combiner Wars, and this will be as close as Hasbro likely gets to acknowledging that again. In my wacky head fannon, I picture this as a “Last Guardian of Cybertron” Optimus. Decades after the end of the wars, Cybertron is going into peace among its assorted factions (Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, Predacons, etc). Instead of stepping in to the complex political arena that has developed, Optimus goes into retirement. When Cybertron is threatened by Unicron enhanced Quintessons, he comes out to lead the armies of the Pax Cybertronia.
His white/grey/gold deco was intended to make him “a-factional”. Not aligned with any singular faction, but a presence to lead them all to defend their world against destruction.

Javelin looks great and is a really good design. If she was by herself she'd probably be a buy, but not worth it for Kaskade too, which I'm not a fan of the mold. I also don't remember the character at all, despite reading all the comics (and only remember Javelin because of her cool design... Ruckley just wasn't that good at characterization).
Nova Prime, I'm really happy it exists, but I already own a version of the mold (SG Magnus) and one's enough for me.
Similarly, toy-deco Stunticons look cool, but already have the originals and not worth rebuying.
Nacelle would've been tempting as an F-15 (whether the 'default' or Thrust form) but as the Siege mold, pass.
Unreleased G2 Sideswipe is tempting but I'm not a fan of the all-blue head. I find it interesting that Mirage gets a normal silver face while Sideswipe doesn't despite both their originals (toys and art) having monochrome heads.
That just leaves Ratchet, and me deciding whether to pick it up or play the waiting and game and continue to wait for RED HELMET...

Probably no more than people needed Arcee in Kingdom, but there are fewer options for package refreshes at this scale. And they're already repacking, say, Blitzwing.
Javelin in IDW2 was the one who got part of her head blown off (by Kaskade) and suffered some PTSD for it, hesitating in battle. She had a redemption moment towards the end when she had one of the weaponizers load up on her back and she basically went ballistic on some Decepticons.
I have honestly never seen it in store.
I saw him briefly when the line launched, but Galvatron and Blitzwing have just piled up around here. All things considered, I think Optimus Prime will ALWAYS be pretty safe for a package refresh.
I'm starting to think whoever put that talk of a Legacy Rescue Bots Chase out there was just doing it to screw with me personally.
I don't know (or particularly care) who Javelin and Kaskade are; never read the comics. While I really like the look of Javelin, I will maybe see if I can get her as an eBay exclusive sometime after the set releases. She looks incredible. I will be deep in the cold, cold ground, however, before I pay money for that other mold again.
Yeah, that's the main reason I didn't pre-order the set. I really like Javelin, but equally really hate the Chromia mold. So either need to find her seperately or wait till the set is at least half off so then Chromia is just a free extra.
I have a feeling the Javelin/Kaskade set is going to wind up like Greenlight on the aftermarket so I ordered one just in case.
Since we’re 100% definitely going to get SG Sideswipe as Armada Wheeljack; which deco are we hoping to see? I think Micron Rampage looks better but I feel like Hasbro is going to justifiably Hasbro and do their scheme.

Tigerhawk and Silverbolt? Sure thing.
Cybertron Starscream? Absolutely. Original Voyager never got released in the West so this is cool both for that and the upgrades to the original's possibility. I'm not expecting flip out swords but if he can pose that's the trade off.
Thundertron? Not complaining really. The original was fun but flawed and just giving him a regular sword would be a step in the right direction (ha!) but it's odd they'd revisit him considering he didn't even appear in the show.
Animated Optimus Prime is the big one I'm most curious about. First because Animated's most distinguishing feature was the hyper-stylized design and I'm not sure what would make Animated Optimus Prime distinctly Animated Optimus Prime if you passed that design through a G1 filter that Generations uses.
Also the original Animated Voyager OP toy was near perfect so I'm not sure what this could improve on specifically.
