And my Swindle has shipped! Soon Bruticus will be complete!

Any word on whether they will do Defensor or Computron again?

My guess it will be Defensor first as they are focused on season 1 & 2 combiners so far, Computron is a season 3 combiner, but that simply guessing on my part!

As for Bruticus, my Onslaught should be shipping out this week and hopefully be here by Friday at the latest with Sideways (Armada) while Swindle is a couple of months off, but then I'm also waiting for Hasbro UK to get Liokasier shipped out, they are being extremely slow on him

I have Swindle on order from BBTS, no word yet, but then I will for the first time in four attempts since Transformers: Energon actually complete him!

I do plan for the moment to keep my CW Protectobots, I got them back from my nephew's place for comparisons and I really like NOT having the two teams have anything in common mold-wise. Which I know sounds pointless but I do like how the two groups are quite similar in many ways but, how I have it now, entirely different.

On that note, I just got the Studio Series Cliffjumper which I put next to Netflix Bee. And I am equally happy for the same dumb reason.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time. They confirmed at SDCC that they're still planning on doing one combiner per year, and there will be one for '27. No solid info I've seen yet about who it will be, but I've seen some chatter about Tripredacus. No idea where that came from or if there's any legitimacy to it at all, so definitely manage expectations.
Hopefully, the "classic combiners" are gong to get kicked over to Studio Series so Generations can get more oddball entries.

I'm expecting Defensor but I'm hoping for Volcanicus or Computron.

I rather not see another Dinobot combiner, at least not for a few years as the last two versions, haven't exactly been great in places, besides we only recently completed the G1 Dinobots and they are working on the movie ones at Titan class scale, though I'm passing as the price of Grimlock is pretty much the price you would of paid for Omega Supreme and you get much less in the package as the size is now what Star Convoy is!

I need to look that up, but Sludge could be, logically and accurately, the biggest by making the 'frame' aspect integrated with his alt mode for neck and tail length, like how Onslaught got his long-truck mode done. Sauropods were huge, so him being enormous due to carrying all the combined stuff could work.

Cyberverse Volcanicus has Slag and Snarl as legs, Grimlock as the central chest and waist, Sludge as the arms and rest of the torso and Swoop as a winged backpack.

I like it aside from the blue.

IIRC, Swoop's wings also size-change to grow bigger for the combined form. Her wings aren't that large in her individual form.

I'd really love a new Predaking done in separate releases. Commander Razorclaw with the combiner parts, Divebomb as a Leader to make sure he gets decent sized wings, and the other three as Voyagers. That should let them all be released within a single year, hopefully.

I'm resigned to just getting updates of whatever at this point. At least the main G1 ones; who knows if I'll be able to also go after the newer stuff (I probably will skip a Volcanicus, but I'll probably want a new Orthia or Victorion or Megaempress). The frame system and the aging of the previous combiners have broken my resolve. The main concern now is that these will cost unfriendly amounts.

It makes sense for Defensor to be next. Lots of tooling they can already reuse (at least one car and copter, and whatever from Onslaught), even with heavy reskinning. But that seems like a case where the limbs would all work as Deluxes, so I hope they just do that rather than go with two Voyagers again.

My take: Cyberverse Volcanicus's cartoon model is the coolest design of any Dinobot combiner.
I'm glad you didn't label this as a "hot take," because it isn't. There's nothing hot about it. It's just a stone cold fact.

Now, imagine Grimlock with the frame system.

Dino trailer!

That would be funny, but then maybe the extra parts would just become giant weapons with the combiner helmet having the face fold up inside and we get a helmet to fit over Grimlock's Dino mode head to recreate the scene where he bought the Technobots to life and gave them his knowledge!
