Interesting if true. I kind of feel like that's probably a digibash of some kind. Not that I don't think that the soccer Transformer would be a good base for a Primus toy, but I really feel like the current design team would do some remolding to the exterior so that it's not just obviously a gold soccer ball.

I suspect it's a digibash. The Breakaway toy has thirty-three steps in his transformation, while this theoretical toy has thirty-two. Adding steps is plausible, but taking them away?

They found listings for a Deluxe Air Quake. Speculation is that it's a renamed Nexus Prime limb due to the Superion frame only being compatible with plane molds. My first guess would have been Skyquake but he'd be a Leader and they just used the name relatively recently anyway.

I found Vector Prime when I stopped in at Target today. When the first pictures showed up of his sword in the Sentinel Prime pics, I was certain it had been retooled, which led me to assume Vector would have other retooling too. Later pictures made it clear the sword hadn't been retooled, but it had been really bugging me that I couldn't figure out why I was so sure it had been. My Legacy Vector Prime was packed away, so I hadn't had a chance to handle him again until today. With it in hand, I realized my mistake, which has me feeling really stupid now.

I'd left his Cyber Planet Key connected to his sword for so long that I'd forgotten how it connected. I think I'd basically forgotten it was even a separate piece. I was so oblivious to it that I'd convinced myself there was no post on the sword, and seeing that post in the AotP pictures convinced me it was new tooling. I finally realized my mistake looking at the instructions, which show placing the sword on his back for robot-mode storage. I'd convinced myself that wasn't something he could do. 😓

Only new thing I've found is the Unicron soldier. Needed some dopamine so I picked him up.
It's the Fallen mold which is just an excellent toy. Soldier is also a good toy, but his guns/turret thing does not inspire joy. I don't need a full upgrade kit, but if I could find a new gun that turns into a turret in tank mode, I will be picking that up.

Unicron Solider took me entirely by surprise. I had assumed a Liege Maximo mold just for the horns but they took it in a totally different direction.

Yeah he's fine. Looks odd with the helmet but no beard. Like he's missing something. But it's all fairly solid and decent. Just a disappointing cannon.

So, I just got my AotP Joyride, and am puzzled about something. The instructions say there is a way to put Hotwire on Joyride's back (which I like, as it approximates where the G1 version would connect). But, I can't for the life of me figure out HOW to get him attached back there. If anyone has any tips/pointers (especially if you can provide pictures), please help!

Pity. I always liked those two combiners as a kid. My cousin had Computron when we were kids, and I had Defensor except for Blades, so we had a lot of fun playing with those.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time. They confirmed at SDCC that they're still planning on doing one combiner per year, and there will be one for '27. No solid info I've seen yet about who it will be, but I've seen some chatter about Tripredacus. No idea where that came from or if there's any legitimacy to it at all, so definitely manage expectations.

That would be a neat one to get too.

Now I'm trying to picture a Tripredacus that somehow used the frame system.
