Only if the comics said so. "Dimensions in Danger" never mentioned anything about the Master Morpher's origins.
Hmm, not even in the Extended Edition? Well, I checked the Soul of the Dragon OGN and nothing there. So, unless it was mentioned offhandedly in Hyperforce or some other comic, I think I just made that up? I guess we probably still don't know who made the Master Morpher, after all.

I don't think Ninjor is a bad candidate, but I can't find a source for why I think that. I think I just headcanoned it so hard, that I thought that was official.

I always liked Billy being the Master Morphers creator, but then the question arises as to why other multi Ranger characters like Kat, Rocky, Adam, or Jason never got one. Especially when they are all ones he worked with.

I've always figured that it was like the v1/prototype of an idea. Make sure its fully viable before rolling it out to others.

There is no "Extended Edition" (not like Super Megaforce's two-part finale). There is just a longer version of the fight between Tommy and his robot clone where Tommy uses his Dino Thunder Black Ranger form and gets his butt kicked by the robot before switching to Zeo Ranger V.

Well, I checked the Soul of the Dragon OGN and nothing there.
Does that mean RangerWiki's page for Soul of the Dragon is wrong where it says, "Anara speculates that either Billy Cranston from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers or Miss Fairweather from Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue may have constructed the Master Morpher."? (If so, it is entirely possible someone made that up and put it on the page; again, I wouldn't know, having not read SOTD or any of the comics besides the one with Tommy and Kat's wedding).

That part IS in the book. But, Tommy doesn't comment on the speculation, either way. So, it doesn't really add anything. And given the whole plot of the graphic novel involves the Master Morpher getting broken in a fight years ago, I don't know if either of those choices make the most sense? If Billy or Fairweather made the Master Morpher, Tommy could have just gotten it repaired pretty easily, I would assume? So, it'd have to come from someone who's harder to reach, I would think.

It's not certain, but I thought maybe the answer was in the name.

Green Morphing master gave it to Santa Clause to give to Tommy.

*To be clear.. considering PR.. yes this IS a joke.*
That'd make...okay sense, as a retcon. Though, Soul of the Dragon was written YEARS before the Morphin Masters would make their big comeback in Dino Fury. The Emissaries were the bigger deal in the comics, back around when this was written.

The name probably IS a intentional callback by the writers, though. So, it'd make sense to tie the two together. Though, if that's the case, it's weird that the Master Morpher is so...fragile in the OGN. Then again, they also made the Ninja Nexus Prism, and that this was always breaking down, so I guess that tracks well enough. The Morphin Masters are not necessarily the best craftsmen.

I haven't read any of the comics, except a few leading up to shattered grid.

Honestly all the focus on Tommy in the comics made them come off as bad fanfiction... so personally don't give two jives about them and didn't read them. No idea who the "Emissaries." are.. And if the Show does something different.. Show takes priority IMO.

The Emissaries were those guys who were constantly switching between different team's costumes. They were eventually basically revealed to be the "middlemen" for the Morphin Masters. Like...if the Morphin Masters are "gods", then the Emissaries are their "archangels". They actually have some interesting lore to them, since they're the first people to access the Morphin Grid to actually become Power Rangers..in Earth's distant past, but that's a story of it's own.

And, well, I've talked about it before, but the comics, for all the hoopla about wanting to be "canon", are basically a splinter timeline.

They're "canon" in the same way that RPM and Dino Charge are canon. Different universes, but close enough to pass a squint test. The stuff in the original era of Boom comics can't really fit with the rest of what happened in the main show timeline. Even though, they kind of tried to make it work.

And, recently, the Boom comics have REALLY been embracing the "alternate timeline" stuff. Almost everything they've been doing has been some form of alternate future for the franchise. Right now, we have 3 ongoings going on at the same time. And all 3 take place in different "what if" variants of the timeline. The main "Mighty Morphin" book is set in the..."slight alternate past of the present" with aged up versions of the original cast, but set before Trini died. PR Green is set in a post-apocalyptic future with Tommy trying to take care of a alien girl. And Unlimited is a massive constant crossover with every single Ranger team going on missions together.

...It DOES kind of feel like they're throwing everything they can think of at the wall to see what sticks. I kind of wonder if Hasbro is having them brainstorm and pitch things on purpose, just to find SOMETHING that works for them. So, we'll see what they end up landing on.

Yet entirely plausible!

IIRC, wasn't the original batch supposed to be MMPR, but in modern times?

Yeah, it was supposed to be MMPR in modern times. But, also, it was trying to be stories set "in-between" seasons, a bit? It feels like they tried REALLY hard to make it more or less pass the squint test, so that you COULD say it's canon...outside of the new cellphones and other technology popping up. They kind of always wanted to have their cake and eat it too with just how connected to "canon" it was.

And, to be fair, I feel like Hasbro probably will end up taking a lot of cues from what those Boom comics did. If only because they can't be bothered to come up with their OWN origins for Lord Zedd and the Morphin Grid. I think a lot of Boom's DNA is destined to become intermingled with whatever the "main canon" of the Power Rangers universe eventually becomes. A lot like how a lot of ideas from IDW's universe made it's way into the toys and other fiction over the years.

One of these things is not like the other, one of these things was made by Kenner…

That was my biggest gripe about the VR Troopers toy line: Dug the show, oddities and all, but Kenner did the toys instead of Bandai. The figures and vehicles were neither as accurate or as articulated as the other Saban shows.

Apparently it was because Bandai has lost the moulds to the original Choujinki Metalder figures so they'd have to make new moulds from scratch. Power Rangers was at the height of popularity and Bandai was putting all of its resources to churning out product for that, and declined to set aside resources to do new Choujinki Metalder figures for VR Troopers.
So Saban went to Kenner, who was happy to get on that 90s Saban gravy train.

Totally unrelated: Voice actor Townsend Coleman (Transformers Animated Sentinel Prime, The Tick, 1987 Michelangelo, and more) just did a quick interview with Paul Schrier:
