G1 Grimlock not only has relatively good robot and altmodes for the time, he is sculpted in a way that looks like he already has joints in the appropriate areas.
The weird deep leg stretches from the dino mode aside, this is one of those releases that makes me sad I can't actually collect this whole line. Great execution on a design that was already very good. I'll definitely be saving up for if and when they get around to Snarl.
Is that some kind of floating monster in the hall behind you?I ordered Grimlock because he is the only Dinobot that I've never had a copy of the G1 toy. I had Sludge and Snarl as a wee lad (see photo evidence below) and have picked up Slag and Swoop out in the wild at flee markets or similar (though neither in great condition). Grimlock, though, has thus far eluded me. If they DO make all 5 in Missing Link style, I think I'd probably have to buy them all. Hopefully they spread them out a little.

That's what they want you to think...They looked like jackets to me.
Preorders start tomorrow!!
Missing Link D-01 Soundwave
Missing Link D-02 Soundwave (Anime Type)
As a special bonus for purchasing from TakaraTomy Mall, you will receive an Original Collection Card featuring a Cassettron illustration by Hirofumi Ichikawa!
※ In addition to the card included with Soundwave, a separate Cassettron card is included.
Full disclosure: It is not yet clear if these actually include new toys of Scoutrobo and Condor Cybertron Mode (Anime Type) or if it's just collector cards of them that are included.
Autoscout better be able to comfortably seat vintage Microman figures or Takara failed the assignment.
Yes I know the full size cassette Microman toys were vehicles and not the micro-cassettes, but still. It'd be funny if you could fit a Microman on so it can use it as the world's goofiest scooter.
