I suspected as much, which I why I hadn't bought them despite them being, like, $6 for all of them.
You get what you pay for.
The Purple one looks cool.
Nice review! One thing though, as someone that has the white/blue four star seeker since the 1980s, it has not yellowed at all.
I see that toy pop up on the internet occasionally. It is definitely the King of Bootlegs, incorporating parts from all sorts of various stolen I.P.
A truly glorious day.
(He seems to have got wheels!)

Did they add light piping to the eyes or does the SS86 have it too?
The one thing that might make me buy a KO of SS Megatron would be if they made it slightly undersized so that he ends up a tallish Voyager class so that he'd fit in with the standard Earthrise / Siege / Generations / What-have-you figures. I have SS Megatron, and he's a great toy, but I keep Siege Megatron leading the shelfbound Decepticons since he's the right scale. SS Megs just looks too big with them, so he stands guard over my desk instead.
Didn't you watch the video? It's not exactly light-piping...
Sorry, didn't get a chance to see it yet. Can't really watch it at work.
If you turn down the volume...
lol. They relocated my half of the floor to redo the paint and the carpet. unfortunately, I am in a cubicle for the next month, so no privacy.
Ok, I finally watched it.
Two thoughts:
1. I love the music.
2. They really did make a lot of improvements to this toy. The extra accessories, the new panels, and the led to light the eyes are all great! Honestly, the video has me really tempted to pick up the KO.
It was the wheels that did it for me. Something that simple yet Hasbro didn't bother with it.
However, as I've got the original, I'm going to wait for a recolour. Hopefully, a black or a metallic version might sway me.
