THE KNOCK OFF TRANSFORMERS THREAD

[PrimalxConvoy]

A retrospective of the Classics 'KOLD' KO Seekers.

[PrimalxConvoy]

Xin Le Xin - Optimus Prime/Gundam Cakebot Incoming.

KO Poo-Bot.

Based upon a previously shown KO Lego bot.

Possibly New Tank-Bot Combiner.

It reminds me of this KO, which I think is also available in green and tan varieties.

[Dvandom]

Finally opened up that oversized Combiner Wars Booticus I got the other week. Unsurprisingly, the leg joints are so floppy it can't stand up. (Shoulders simply don't move at all.) The jet is definitely Starscream, though.

Floor polish?

[Gizmoboy]

I don't need any of the core cast or any of the ones from the storm set, but I'm interested in some new off colors they might come out with.

Yeah, a clever KO company could just visit the "Generic Seeker" page of the Wiki and have enough fodder for a hundred years.

[The Mighty Mollusk]

Or just use whatever plastic colors they have laying around and let the buyer figure it out. You know people will make it their new OC immediately.

I suspect they'll do:

- Original seekers
- Rainmakers.
- Sunstorm.
- Ghost Starscream.
- Black/Machine Wars Starscream.
- Redwing.
- Sparkless Seeker.
- Nacelle
- Shattered Glass Starscream.
- Hotlink.
- G2 Seekers/Coneheads.
- Coneheads (next wave, after most repaints?)

It hurts me that even in that long list that you didn't include the four star color schemes....

The white one is basically already shown above.

[The Predaking]

Well, the white one, has a lot of blue on it. Primarily, I always thought of it as a blue one.

I never noticed that the black one had blue feet and shins too.

[The Predaking]

Also, I just saw this one today for the first time.

[Haywire]

Hasbro should totally do a subline homaging the classic G1 knockoffs...

[The Mighty Mollusk]

If they include the winged dragon Sludge, I'm down.

[PrimalxConvoy]

There was a rumour that Reverse Convoy's head was a homage to a KO combining robot toy (that I've forgotten the name of). The section that became the combiner body and head transformed into a red spaceship, I think?

I think there was a video or discussing online somewhere about it but I can't find it.

[PrimalxConvoy]

(Shoulder fix)

(SS86 Hotrod KO, possibly the Target exclusive MTMTE version?)

[PrimalxConvoy]

Baltmatrix just reviewed some KOs that have been knocking-around:

I did post this video here a few pages back though...
