So I made my monthly trip to Game Exchange today and this time I took my oldest with me. She loved the place, but couldn't find anything that she wanted. I picked up a complete in box copy of Sky Shark for the NES:

I mainly got it for the artwork, as I don't ever remember playing this game. It was only $28 complete out the door, so not a bad deal for a CIB NES game.

While looking around I also managed to find Dragon Quest Treasures on the Switch for $15, so I got that too. Sadly they didn't have that Jetfire there, or else they moved him as they have moved a lot of stuff around. I will have to take a look next time to see if that was the case.

One thing that was really tempting to me was that they had two sets of Steel Battalion controllers there. One with the game for $400 and one without for $200. I must admit that I am tempted to get that, as the idea has always appealed to me.

I forgot to mention. At Game Exchange last week, they had a boxed copy of Sculptors cut for the N64 in their display case. I never saw one in person before then.

Seeing that is a huge relief to me. I forgot that game existed.

In my Legend of the Halcyon Era stories, I have an airship called the Sky Shark. Came up with it because the airships tend to be based on aquatic life for some reason, so I followed that, and took a saw shark and made the saw a hot rod engine-like piece on the front.

Some time after that, I come by the Sky Shark in GI Joe. Oh my god, I had that as a kid! Had I unknowingly reused the name from that?

And now there's this, so I'm guessing it's just a term that gets around without much relation between uses. Whew.

Made my monthly trip to Game Exchange. Sadly they had nothing on my list, but they had some neat oddities. I finally picked up a NES Four Score, so now I need to find the games that support it.

Yeah, turns out there's more than I thought.

Never seemed to be for the games I wanted to play, so I never got one and kinda ignored the rest.

I think they lost me when neither TMNT II: The Arcade Game nor TMNT III: The Manhattan Project supported four players.

Yeah, I get it now, but try telling that to kid me back then.

Those would be great for it. I am surprised that there isn't a fan version of this made for the NES by now.

I picked up some games this weekend for my Birthday.

I went by my local game store, and found a nice clean copy of Star Wars Rebel Assault II for the PS1.

The next day I stopped by Gamestop. They were running a 4 for $10 for $5 and under games, and 4 for $20 for games under $10. So I picked up the following:

4 for $20
Puzzle Quest for the PS2
Diablo 3 for XB1
Nintendo World Cup/Super Spike V'Ball for NES
Golden Eye Rogue Agent for Original Xbox

4 for $10
ES Oblivion for X360
Assassins Creed Unity for XB1
Tetris Plus for PS1
Monopoly Greatest Hits for PS1

The Xbox stuff is something that I have been collecting when I find it cheap enough. I doubt I will go for a complete set of any of it, but having it on hand is nice. I was pretty happy with that haul, and getting two games for the NES Multi Tap for $5 was neat. Also, I printed off a list of those 3-4 player NES games to keep on me for when I go game hunting.

I actually looked into this, and apparently this would require something with more power than the NES. Mainly due to the NES having a hard limit of Sprites on the screen.

I made my monthly trip to Game Exchange yesterday. Sadly the only thing on my list that they had was Donkey Kong Country 3, but its label was messed up a bit on the crease, so I didn't want to pay $30 for it. I did pick up Theatrythm Final Fantasy for the 3DS and Lucky's Tale and Geometry Wars Evolved for the Xbox One, all for $20 out the door.

I just saw this, I know its not the retro one, but thought I would let you know!

Been a couple of months since I've really been around here. So first off. Happy very late Birthday. Seems I missed it.

Nice find on the 4 score. I have one and some games. Funny enough there is even a guide for it.

The ones that I know:
Gauntlet 2 is fun, but there is no end to the game. My friends and I tried to beat it one time, leaving the NES on overnight and we got to somewhere around I think 264 before giving up. Might be a lot less. I just remember it was over 200.

M.U.L.E. is fun but hard to explain. I swear I did a thing on it on the boards once.

I have Swords and Serpents as well, but it's one of those games that's weird for being 4 players. It's like playing a Might and Magic Game, or any first person dungeon crawler, except you can have a controller for each person playing a character. I never did bother to get very far in it.

Really wish I had Nightmare on Elm Street. It's prone to slowdown, but a four-player side-scroller.

Last of all I did know of that MegaMan collection. I'll get it someday. That and the Battle Network games were never really my jam. I got the Star Force games for the DS just to have them. Sadly I still don't have any cases for them.

In the time I was away, I got some cool stuff.

Visited my 2nd and Charles a few times. Picked up a few new games:

Picked up Chicken Blaster for the Wii. Didn't know it had two chicken lightgun games.

Also picked up Shamu's Deep Sea Adventures for the PS2

Picked up Front Mission Evolved for the Xbox360
THOUGHT I was getting Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii but... it turned out to be a bootleg. I took a pic of the disc that I might share if you want to see it. It's very obviously fake.

Got Spy Hunter for the Xbox, and also found a copy of Knights of the Old Republic 2 for like 13 bucks!

Also found some Atari 2600 controllers there. Picked up two. I sadly can't see if they work as I need an adapter to hook a system that old up to my newer tv...

Was also stopping by Goodwill and found THIS for I think 5 bucks. Maybe the 3 bucks they usually charge for CDs/DVDs.

It looks interesting, and I'm hearing good things. So I think I got a pretty darn good deal.

It's not videogame related, but I have no idea where else to brag about this put this. I found this in the wild:
20260514_124301.jpg

I've had seasons 2 and 3 in a set for a while now. Just never managed to get season 1, but I finally fixed that. I do believe I have everything Beast Wars now. Now I just need everything of Beast Machines, which I know has a DVD set, but looks like it's kinda pricey...

Last thing I want to share is that I got something REALLY cool.

In exchange for basically paying for a trip I plan to take on my birthday week. (Paying for a friend's admission to some theme parks that is) He gave me this in exchange:

I've set it up so my other Arcade unit from Arcade1UP is right behind it.
