People complained about Heatwave but I don't see it. It is the best version of that mold.

Has Linkin Park Soundwave or his cassettes ever been reported to suffer from GPS? Did anyone here bother getting those, and so can share their experiences handling them?
Well, that good deal got snapped up by someone else, so this ha been rendered moot.

Heatwave is the best version of that mold, but Heatwave also deserves better still.

He (Bulkhead) appeared in the current comics in that body, so not really theoretical anymore.
I've wondered (and this is the tread for it) if Bulkhead appearing as the LEGACY toy was the artists' or a mandate from Hasbro?

Pretty sure recent toy=Fresh on the mind, as opposed to Hasbro putting the kibosh on a comic-original design that homages ALL the Bulkheads. (Even the 'ENERGON' one.)

Does anyone remember a comic someone made that basically went deeper in depth about why Optimus Prime decided to have Ethan Zachary press the button to destroy him in Marvel Transformers #24? I remember seeing something that was pretty good about it, and I thought it was a comic (maybe it was something else?), but someone brought up the issue and I wanted to share this, but haven't found it yet.

Wasn't there a series of online comics written to fill in gaps or tell side stories like this? I feel like quite a few bigger names were involved, but it was maybe sort of Elseworlds-like unofficial? Maybe it was one of those?

EDIT: Transformers: Mosaic
Not sure if the story you are looking for was part of this project or not; looks like the Wiki only lists the stories that were published as backups by IDW, and not a complete list.

EDIT 2:
Is this it?

Oooooh, maybe? I thought it was more recent, but I could be mistaken...

Either way, this seems to hit some of the same points, IIRC, if it's not indeed the same one. So thanks!

Classics Bumblebee (and Cliffjumper) and Classics Optimus Prime are two molds that seem to still be pretty popular.

Why haven't these been re-released, or, what things would factor in if re-releasing them was a possibility? (I used so many words to ask that question . . . ) The molds may be gone by this point, but G1 and Beast Wars figures have been re-released, so it doesn't seem like an impossible thing.

I don't know how these decisions come together from the manufacturing and marketing sides. I know they'd be "yet another G1-ish ________," depending on which classics molds they released. Are the size of the figures or the number of parts a factor?

Budget may be a huge reason. They were engineered for their price points by 2006 budgets which factored in 2006 oil prices and 2006 inflation rates and the lack of tariffs.

Hasbro could run off a wave of Classic Primes but it would probably have to be a Leader class, even if it was totally unchanged.

Considering how many times Classics Prime got recolored and reissued already, what are the odds that the mold is even still usable?
They could refurbish the mould or even scan an original copy of the figure into CAD to make a new one, but both would add to the costs which would already be high reproducing a 2006 figure with 2026 economics.

Unpopular opinion: I never really cared for the Classics Bee mold. I owned it three times (two Bees and one CJ). I always preferred TR Bumblebee to fill that spot in my Classics Autobots.

I wonder Classics Prime would ever get a redo in an "Age Of" line. Though, it probably wouldn't live up to the original, which really only needs an ankle rocker to keep up with modern figures.

Yeah, I would absolutely buy an updated Classics Prime with ankle and wrist articulation and maybe some slightly better handling of the arm doors. The overall look of the figure and amazing built-in weapons need to stay.
