I went roving out today in the hope of finding the megatron/bumblebee hearts of steel box. I got starscream/optimus last week by pure fluke, and I was hoping to get the other set cause I do love me some steampunk and rather enjoyed the hearts of steel series.

I came home with socks and discounted chocolate. So I'm going to make a poke cake for dessert to sooth my soul

I actually got a lot of deep sleep last night! Been having some issue with that and the REM sleep. Last night was about what I normally get in a week though!

I can only imagine how that feels. I don't think I get much deep sleep.

I got an Apple Watch a couple months ago to track my sleep. It really helps me understand why I always feel worse in the mornings than I do at night. Most of my sleep is Core sleep with less REM than I need to get and usually little to no Deep sleep. I am just waiting for the sleep study people to call me back to setup an appointment so I can get a CPAP machine to help me sleep.

This week I wrote my first children's picture book. It was inspired by a bedtime conversation with my 6yr old about two weeks ago, and it really all just fit into place. And... I think it's good?

There are no pictures yet, so it's not like it's ready to put into the world or anything... but it's still something that didn't exist a week ago, so that's nice.

Awesome! I have been meaning to write down my kids' bedtime stories, if for no other reason they get to tell it to their kids one day.

Yay! It took nearly a day, but my internet is finally back!

*immediately starts doom scrolling*

Wait.... no, wait...

*doom scrolling intensifies*

I think there was a lesson here that I missed!

I made buckeyes. Now I am enjoying a nice cup of tea.

Edit: finally got to EAT the buckeyes (needed time to refrigerate.). They are absolutely delicious. Home made peanut butter cups, basically. I did follow the recipe to letter: but next time, I'm going to half the size of the peanut butter balls, and then just pour the melted chocolate on top. The toothpick dipping and swirling is stupid, wasteful, and you literally get the same effect from just pouring the chocolate on top.

It's been a rough week with a really unpleasant surprise. I was able to relax a bit tonight and catch up on some anime. Couple of series ended, Observation Log of a Villainess (can't be bothered to type the full title) had some fun twists on the genre and was very cute. This week's Iruma, though. I really needed that Ameri ep, she's one of my fave chars.
So wonderfully cheesy and adorable! I def want her to end up w/ Iruma but the series will likely leave it vague XD

Just went to the vet's to pickup a prescription for my dog. There was a fluffy black dog there who was flopping over for belly rubs everywhere. I was standing a few feet away and she ran over and jumped on me, then plopped over again. Of course I had to pet her. I may never recover from her floof attack.

If its my dad, likely all the dogs would be coming over for scratches around the ears and form a orderly que about it

I envy those who receive floof attacks. Floofy dogs are fun.
