I'm surprised Mondolorian wasn't given a metallic silver repaint with grogu for the cockpit, for the new movie.
Yeah, that would have been mondo cool!

I am surprised that the movie isn't doing better than it is in the box office.
It's a mediocre film where nothing of real consequence happens. It's not offensively awful like some other Star Wars offerings, but there isn't really anything going on that requires one to rush out to theaters instead of waiting for it to show up on streaming.

EDIT: Oh dammit, I forgot I had two mando transformers that I accidently got extra that I was meaning to sell during the lead-up to the film.

The marketing has been more than a little weak, and right as the thing came out there was a flood of reviews and thinkpieces about how it committed the cardinal sin of not being epic and grand.

Like I get that this is "this could've been an email episode: the movie", but run through the engagement-farming outrage machine and made the "opinions, getcher opinions here" flavor of the month. That's not exactly going to entice audiences.

The Monster Jam collabs are revealed. Contrary to prior collab releases, these seemed geared to a much younger crowd, with simpler articulation and engineering. Plus the open white box design. That said, hard to deny the appeal of shark truck.

Sorry, kids, all the elbows went to the grown-up toylines.

The chatter in that thread mentions a Grave Digger was also teased. There's also the term "kidslop", but I need my brain cells this week so I stopped reading.

This one is clearly for the kids, which is fine as Monster Trucks really haven't been too much on my radar anyways. I can definitely see there being an audience for these, and that audience is going to put these through the wringer at playtime, so it makes sense that they're pretty basic.

Shark truck is fun, but other than that, they look like knockoffs. Like, the kind of thing you'd find at a discount store or a flea market that has Prime's head on a generic robot.
I am quite nonplussed, as Hasbro has done some really nice monster truck (or monster truck-proportioned) bots in the less-poseable, kid-targeted lines. Just Googling turns up the neat Rescue Bots Academy Optimus Prime and also the Griffin Rock Racing/Extreme Teams.

I will say "Furioso" is a pretty fun name.

The lack of elbows on these and the Cyberworld figures is positively baffling, but these look decently fun. Depending on the price, I may have to pick a couple up.
