Beyond the war crimes, his horrible policies, and shooting people in the face, I will always remember him for a bit on the Daily Show when Jon Stewart parodied the classic Eminem song with his own version, "I'm Dick Cheney, the real Dick Cheney..."
If we can't celebrate old monsters from leaving the world, how do we justify celebrating current monsters when they leave?
Not me. The Iraq War is still the worst thing this government has done in my lifetime and I don't consider it a close call. This is still a hot button / red line / whatever for me. Everyone responsible for that mess is the worst person. Until Trump actually invades Canada because he feels like it, he is just not in that league.
Even if the argument is "Yeah but Trump is doing damage now and we have to live with it now", we are still living with the Iraq War now too.
