The thing is... this wouldn't stop being the case after he left Hasbro. Mattel, PlayMates, etc... aren't keen on IP infringement either, and I can't see the upside to going "you know what? I love IP stealing 3P and always have!" after leaving because that seems like a surefire way to not get job offers ever again.Entirely possible those weren't his real feelings, just what he felt he had to say in order to ensure job security.
Rik Alvarez, the guy behind PlayWithThisToo is a close friend of Archer's. It could have been as simple as him wanting to help a friend out. Now that would still run afoul of the issues in the above point... but the scuttlebut I've heard is that Archer agreed to do some control art for Alavarez under the table, but Alvarez, desperate to make the second Kickstarter campaign work, started blabbing about having Aaron Archer "on board" to drum up hype.Or he flip-flopped, who knows?
As long as we don't get Orko in Wheelie armor.
Yes, you are.STARSHIP Eternia, for both a rare New Adventures reference, and a chance to do something with Animated Omega Supreme's 'Ark' form.

These are certainly interesting because every other Collab seems to be a Transformers product first and foremost that is also some other thing. But these seem like MotU toys first that just have Transformers IP worked into them. The packaging is heavily MotU right down to the Mattel logo getting some space without the Hasbro logo. This is neat and all but I’m really more interested to learn if they do transforming robots cosplaying as the MOTU characters
That's how the TMNT-MotU collab worked. They were MotU toys infused with/featuring TMNT characters and conceptsThese are certainly interesting because every other Collab seems to be a Transformers product first and foremost that is also some other thing. It seems like the first of the modern Transformers collabs where the other brand got top billing.
This isn't a problem... but it is interesting.
