This is one of many many times Hasbro's insistence "Optimus vs. Megatron" lets us down. How about Skeletor in Galvatron's armor, Man-At-Arms as Kup. Rodimus/Hot Rod as He-Man/Adam, and, uh, Trap-Jaw and Tri-Clops as Scourge and Cyclonus.

Or Demolishor and Cyclonus. I don't know. This is harder than I thought.

MY POINT IS BB Duncan is not great and there are better warriors and also mentor-figures, instead of "most recognizable."
So disappointed you didn’t go with TriKlops and Shockwave…

Having recently looked up the MOTU/WWE line, my first thought was to make Triklops Man-E-Faces, like, three Seekers. Maybe the coneheads.

But really Triklops Man-E-Faces works well for (Animated/T30 style) Blitzwing.

Two Bad can have Rumble/Frenzy armor.

Fisto can have X-Brawn themed armor (is he ambidextrous?). If this has to be a Geewun lens I'll take an Ironhide I guess.

Modulok can have, idk, Devastator armor.

(I was begrudgingly fine with Bee getting crammed into the GI Joe collab, but not as the AWE Striker necessarily. A bike, like he was in that one comic? The Joes have a bike, right?)

Yep!

(Reflector/Modulok)

Nah, Modulok should be matched with Devas--

Modulok can have, idk, Devastator armor.

Okay, now that was just rude.

Back when Hasbro had little reverence for the past, always looking forward and never looking back.

Back when Soundwave was forbidden to ever become a cassette player or even a non-vehicular object ever again (Takara's MP3 player Soundwave had no creative input from Hasbro).

I guess nobody told the Titanium designers.
Heh, Galoob not having creative input from Hasbro proper on those figures is a strong factor for why so many of those figures turned out the way they did.

It’s not that they didn’t have reverence, they just didn’t let the brand’s past define it for all time.

The Galoob naming was a trademark grab on the Micro Machines/Titanium lines. “Galoob” functionally stopped existing several years earlier.

Maybe "the Titanium line design team", then. There were separate teams for that and the main TF stuff, right?

Man, it's frustrating that Titanium was basically the only outlet we had for War Within stuff. Which is now either in limbo due to Dreamwave being Dreamwave or internally viewed as being superseded by IDW stuff. Those were cool designs I still want as toys.

I don't know...any Animated Blitzwing that does NOT wind up with a Man-E-Faces crossover I think missed the boat, despite the hero/villain mix being off.

... Well, damn it, THAT illustrates my MOTU noobishness like nothing else. I've been saying "Triklops" while thinking of "Man-E-Faces" the whole time. I'll edit the above posts to reflect that.

Don't feel so bad. I'm probably one of the few people on this board who has never ever seen or read any He-Man fiction at all (besides the old Nostalgia Critic reviews of the Chirstmas special and live-action movie, and the old Nostalgia Chick review of the She-Ra pilot movie) because I have zero interest in that franchise.

No worries, He-Man has about a BAZILLION characters, and a great many of them overlap their gimmicks (arm-swapping Roboto/Triclops, three faces/eyes rotating, neck/limbs extending, battle armor EVERYONE, etc), I don't know them all and I had a Skeletor the year he came out for the first time...
