FFS, then nothing from Japan (and Korea and so on) will get English language international releases, because those are no longer going to be viable without the US market.
Nah, there'll be English versions for some of them, just not available(without sailing the high seas) in the US. The SouthEast Asian market has English as a major language - the English versions of the more recent Super Robot Wars releases up until SRW 30 was targeted at that region. For example, I imported the English SRW T Switch version at release, and had to buy the DLC for it from the Hong Kong Switch store due to that. Another example is the current Wataru anime, as that is getting English subs and as far as I know that's SEA targeted as well.

Also apparently the Trump Admin was using a third party Signal client(for the archiving capability) and it apparently was compromised, and everything in it leaked as it was captured via MitM(Man in the Middle). I suppose that's one way to make sure all the messages are preserved; follow the Linus Torvalds method of backup and have the rest of the world mirror it.

*Late edit*
Also, like I suspected, the authority Trump has been using for tariffs so far excludes movies, like it does books:

Best part of this? If he does put tariffs on movies right? That means places like China won't buy our movies. So what does that mean for box offices that rely on China to put their totals in the billion dollar amounts?

Ironbite-this man is the worst.

I've been saying for years that the rest of the world should stop watching our shitty movies and shows, because cultural imperialism is cancer. Good to see Trump doing his part.

But how will the world survive without Army Dude 37: Shoot All The Things, or Marvel Movie 423, or Fast and Furious Again?

Mondo's gonna do what Amazon was too chicken to.

We’re reaching out with an important update about how ongoing international tariffs are impacting Mondo’s products moving forward.

As always, our goal is to continue delivering the highest quality collectibles, records, and posters—and we’re doing everything we can to ensure that continues, even in the face of evolving global trade policies.

Starting May 6, 2025, select pre-order collectible products for U.S. customers will include a tariff surcharge fee, which will vary by item and will be visible in your cart before checkout.

A few key things to know:
  • These surcharges will not apply to in-stock items currently in our warehouse.
  • No retroactive charges will be added to previously completed orders.
  • Orders placed before May 6, including pre-orders, will not be impacted.
We didn’t make this decision lightly—but it’s necessary to help us navigate rising costs while continuing to invest in the products and experiences you expect from Mondo. Thank you for your passion and support. Please visit our FAQs Page for updates or reach out to [email protected] with additional questions.

There's a reel on Facebook that I can't find now where a reporter tried to get this soundbyte and what they got instead is a little chilling. He says they are reopening it because people insist that everyone needs a trial, but that would be millions of trials, so we're going to do this.

Oh, it was a different station.

The station he wants shut down?

I posted elsewhere, but Hasbro and BBTS have reported that prices will increase after May 9. Hasbro will honor preorder pricing placed before that date, but after? Prices are going to go up.

But are Hasbro and BBTS going to show how much of the increase is due to the tariffs like Mondo is, and like Amazon was going to do until they pussed out?
