I thought, given the awkward fit in his fists, that it was less for holding them like guns and more for attaching weapons or armorizors there.

I could see that. They expect us to use the Earthrise trailer, so they maintained compatibility with the trailer's detachable bits.

I'm okay with it how it is, to be honest. I thought I'd want bigger, but... well, it fits perfectly with the trailer between the center and Cerebros-side ramps of Fortress Maximus.

Looks like he's backed up to make a delivery to the loading bay of a store or something.

I think LU G1 Optimus' size makes him the perfect desk toy. And that's one of his strongest attributes.
I love ML Optimus, but it almost feels too pristine and prestige to take off the shelf. LU G1 Optimus, on the other hand, gets fiddled with all the time when I'm at my desk.

Hasbro Pulse just put up preorders for both.

Likewise, TFSource and BBTS have also put up preorders, meaning these rereleases aren't exclusive to Amazon this time around.

You may test that assumption at your convinience.

Nova is my fifth current pre-order. Normally, I don't do this, but I'm not missing out on the primes.

And four of those five are from a local store. Kinda proud of myself.

I'm tempted by Nova. Never had any real interest in him originally, but with a whole assortment of Primes incoming, I'm more inclined to give him a spot on the shelf.

So we'll now have the 13, Nova, Sentinel, Optimus, and Rodimus. That's everyone who has toys from the G1 lineage of Primes, right?

will the nacelle reissue be mold-free this time
That’s probably my biggest “plus” to seeing Nacelle reissued: whatever mold/growth/reaction that afflicted the original will hopefully be resolved.

I don’t have any need for either, but I will never knock Hasbro for doing these sorts of reruns.

I think I posted before that I don’t use Nova Prime as “Nova Prime”. I use it as an evolution of sorts to the old Combiner Wars “Battle Core” Optimus Prime.
My fanon is that it is Optimus Prime when he leads a united Cybertron. The color set plays towards a neutrality from the assorted factions.

We are Prima
We are Prime Nova
We are Sentinel Prime
We are Optimus Prime
We are THUNDERWING

I'll be honest, in my brain "Prime Nova" as it is in original G1 is a different thing than Nova Prime. I just never liked how they normalized/boring-ized that name in IDW.

I would suggest that Thunderwing could REALLY use a new Commander Class toy. (Sadly those are probably doomed to be Combiner torsos for the next half dozen years or so)

-ZacWilliam, the fact that we havnt gotten newer better Thunderwing, Nightbeat, Siren and Hosehead is NUTS to me and suggests the team isn't as big on the later Marvel Comics as I wish they were.

Evan seems to be a fan of Masterforce, so there remains some hope for the likes of Hosehead and Siren (who could be redecoed from--or into--a Goshooter), at least.

Agreed 100% about wanting a new Thunderwing. I don't know if I really want him THAT big, but certainly more substantial than the old Deluxe. Can't say I'd count him among the Primes any more than I would Ultra Magnus, though.

You could get away with a Leader sized Marvel Comics style Thunderwing based just on his shell I admit. It's mostly the dream of keeping his toy inner-robot too that makes me want to push it to Commander.

-ZacWilliam, it's about the only case I can imagine Hasbro actually replicating the Pretender gimmick in a new toy. He's a large enough and important enough character and his shell was a full Transformer of its own.

POTP would have been a good time for a leader class Thunderwing given it's pretender theme but that toyline did everything backwards. Another possible one would be taking Titans Return Black Shadow and retooling him into Thunderwing.
