just the original stege release lol
I'm basically in the same boat. I'm also hoping we see a SS86 Astrotrain sooner rather than later!I've got the original Siege release with his battle damage removed, some toy-centric stickers, and Soundwave's weird gun on his back to replicate the P-38 barrel of the original figure.
I'm thinking he's about perfect for my collection's needs re: Megatron and I'm ready to close the book on that barring the elusive SS '86 Megs.
Just because I'm so darn curious what he ends up being

On the one hand, I agree that the 40th anniversary, SS86 version of the brand's main bad guy SHOULD be a new mold.I would be *very* shocked if an SS86 Megatron is a warmed over remold.
SS86 Prime isn’t and I’d expect nothing less for Megatron.
While it hasn't been done (except maybe with Galvatron if you squint), I still think a 'gun' Megatron could easily be made by making him a FIELD gun. Not a tank, one of those artillery pieces that you pretty much roll to where you want it and then use it in place. Make it big enough and you could even give it the 'interact with other characters' thing, though instead of holding the gun they'd be manning it from behind. You could easily keep the entire G1 Megatron silhouette in both modes without running afoul of federal law or needing safety colors.
Covered all over in cel-shaded paint, just like the game!I’d bet on Devastation Megatron as the basis for an 86 release
I got the idea from a live performance of the 1812 Overture done with modern field artillery. Those who don't think "Tchaikovsky" counts as 'Macho Manly Music' has never heard a percussion section that has to be kept far enough away to not deafen or kill the audience.

He can pal around with his twin:You know that's going to happen now.
